But for the cost of one of those turntables, you could buy three nice cars ;-) besides, 100k for a nice car is generally what you'd expect to pay where as I'd probably pay £400 at most for a good turntable...then again I'm not rich or knowledgeable on audio stuff so what do I know

ill be in london next week for a year and i need a cheap record player, preferably with hifi speakers built in (i don't have nothing other than records). its just for listening not for djing.

any ideas?

I'm using my dad's one of these atm until I can afford decks and it does the job, the usb line on mine is knackered but it's got a red/white stereo line out too. Doesn't have built in speakers though

I have one of those cheaper USB turntables too. Why do they get a bad rap?
