no kidding. these mexican joints are amazing, and i love my carne asada, but seriously, nothing beats a good curry. :5:

I find it interesting that Mexican cuisine is one of the few countries' cuisines that requires the word AUTHENTIC to identify the real thing from the imitation, implying such a vast difference in quality and deliciousness from the Mexican-ish fare that most of the under-enlightened world has unfortunately blamed Mexico for.

Yeah dude it was mainly just out of curiosity. As before mentioned friends of mine that were out here visiting said that they actually didn't have Mexican food there at all that they know of. No harm. :)

In other words what people actually think Mexican food is is crap... True.

In less words, Mexicans get blamed for everything. From any unsolved stabbing to the atrocities that other people have done with their traditional way of preparing food.

Just kidding, but it is a shame what people assume is the best Mexico could come up with. A sad mushy plate of stuff rolled up and smothered with sauce gets passed off as the preferred food of a race of people that actually strongly dislike what most "Mexican restaurants" are serving in comparison to the authentic food they love. I think of fresh lime, cilantro, avocado slices, maybe some campechana or ceviche......... and maybe one mushy cheesy saucy thing.

They have illegal immigrants in the UK, so there should be Mexican food too, right?

=D

There's a great Tex Mex joint literally around the corner from my house here in Utrecht. Though I usually jsut get burgers or ribs. Though my old 'standard menu' was one xxl rack of ribs and a quesadilla. All shit's fresh.
