BigUps are gonna be like comments on Soundcloud, peeps will soon be quoting them in their bio, then someone will write an app that auto generates them.

If Subsilver is really gone forever I'm gonna be pretty upset. The new color scheme isn't bad at all, but there's way too much wasted space. Forums are fundamentally for text chatting and the layout can conductive to that. No one really needs to see online users and posting permissions on the side of every page. Prosilver isn't awful, but I don't see why subsilver had to go. Why not just leave it in even without big up functionality?

The new layout is horrible on my phone.

yeah thats the one thing i had a real issue with, the column with posts in it is far too narrow

Prosilver > subsilver

Yeah I think this is the thing that makes it looks so rubbish on a phone. The posts come through really narrow

Let the record show SunkLo was the first mans to climb the 100% biggups mountain.

Really though I think every biggup gives you 20% so you only need 5. Which is a bit retarded since it's not a percentage and we can't little downs people so once you get 5 it stays at 100%.

Little downs would actually be pretty useful to flag asshole posts or misinformation, although it can lend to neg wars and gay things like that.

I think Sunklo was the man who made everyone notice the bigup system therefore everyone tried it by bigging him up for that post, nice one.

I think it was more about my eloquent expression of the collective distaste in the color scheme as well as my tactical deployment of James Brown.

u use reaper tho so should all your bigups should be disallowed

Can't be because there's lots of other people in this thread who have been big upped and my post still says 100%.

Would like to know exactly how the percentage thing works.

Rating is built on a number of thanks for the posts. For 100% rating is the highest number of thanks for post (leader). Rating the remaining posts is defined as a percentage of the ranking leader.
For example, the maximum number of thanks for post #1 = 10. This is 100%. Then post #2 with 5 thanks will have a rating of 50% (10/5). Post #3 with 3 thanks will have a rating of 33,3% (10/3), etc.
If the post #1 will receive another thanks (10 +1 = 11), his rating will remain 100% (as leader). Rating post #2 is 45.5% (11/5), rating post #3 is 27.3% (11/3).
Position ranking is determined by the number of thanks. Topics rating is made up of the sum of the topic's posts thanks. Forum's rating is made up of the sum of the forum's posts thanks.
