Cars are like shoes... they say a lot about the person driving them, even if the person isn't aware of it. That A3 exudes sales-rep with a Barrett starter home. Natural Bristol neighbourhood: Bradley Stoke.

I'm guessing your dealers want to look successful without standing out too much. It's a "premium" car, but it's about the most beige one going.

I find it hard to get hard for hatches tbh... that Focus RS is about my limit. I've got an irrational hatred of 5 door hatches too... 3 door or GTFO.

A man that doesn't have kids should have a coupe.

LOL.

A3 is an okay car, I've driven one and a couple of mates have them. They are mad dull, the S-Line is better (I think that might be in that pic Agent posted). But it's only popular because it's the budget end of the company that has produced 2 of the most fashionable cars in the last few years, the R8 and the TT. Too many grime and ukhh kids gassed about *nearly* getting the R8.

When they first came out I nearly cracked and got one, beautiful design and kitted out as you'd expect VWs to be. But now, dunno, honeymoon period is over. And the more I see of the original (sure I saw a 3L version?!?) the more I prefer that one.

It's way too tall, but in principle, it's great. I've never understood the appeal of the original tbh.

This is probably my thinking at the moment... I can't really justify owning a car living where I live, but I perennially find myself on Autotrader looking at SLKs and 3 Series Cabrios.

Always told myself if I got a car in the City, it'd be a classic*... but the last couple of times I've been to Spain I've rented 3 Series Cabrios and they really are fucking lovely in every possible way. Everything just feels GOOD.

*most likely an 80s 911 Cabrio

My old man has this shape 3 series (the 325). It's a great design, but the interior is mad tacky. Is fun to drive though.
