What an absolutely pointless thread.

So do you all basically go on to a forum to just ridicule and not actually talk about anything relating to the topic? This is one of the most redundant threads I've ever posted on when all the original poster asked was what conversations with Mala people have had. Rather than contribute you people post every ill considered spasm of delinquency. It's literally redundant. Mockery is easy but actually saying something of relevance is much harder. Probably why there is so much crap written on here. No wonder this forum has gone to the shit.

The forum has largely succumbed to the internet personality, if you know what I mean.

If that's how you want to interpret it that's fine. I simply wrote what (I think) Mala said to me and what I think it might have meant. As people increasingly take their experiences (I have done this myself) as commodities from which they can derive esteem or sense of importance, I felt it was an important idea that people when brought together can create something unique and that everyone benefits from that. I don't see the logic that just because someone asks about another's concept of something, that that person is being a sycophant or indulging themselves. There are many examples of thinly veiled sycophancy in say for example middle class lads donning baseball caps and chains, adopting street lingo that they have no real concept of, and making mannerisms to try demonstrate just how in line they think they are with many of these DJs/producers. This kind of transparent behaviour only serves to obscure the genuine side of the music.

I don't generally invite arguments, because they are generally a complete waste of time, and please don't interpret this as an invitation. But couldn't it be the case that you would find this funny but others might identify the real sense in which the idea was expressed? It is related to the context where increasingly everything is treated as commodity (something Mala has alluded to), one's own experiences included. The idea that someone may stop to consider what is unique about a particular moment and then relate that to the sheer vastness of space, time etc is not as docile as you say. I agree that there is some fairly extreme adulation of Mala, something I am sure he himself is uncomfortable with. But to brandish all anecdotes related to him, such as his conscious and thoughtful approach to his music, as sycophantic or idolatry is somewhat careless.

Seriously boss, is that you reply?.....

At least engage with SOME of the words (you know, those things that combine to form sentences).

To say you seem so convinced of your own immaculate conception, you haven't yet ventured to say why I am wrong and why you felt entitled to mock someone you don't even know.

I wouldn't presume to be so infallible that I can carelessly chuck sarcasm at just anyone.

This is interesting, confront a bully, and all they can do is smirk. Just like in the playground like children. Do you know that clinical psychologists regard laughter in many scenarios as displacing anxiety and anger.

You shat on my post. I asked you a question in response. All you do is laugh rather than discuss the point.

Sorry I didn't realise the thought police were in town. I'll just agree with everything everyone else says, and  when I can't formulate my own thoughts and stick to mundane topics so that we can perpetuate the dullest every dialogues known to man. Big each other up for behaviour like fevered little egos, and form mutually satisfying packs in order swagger around cyber space like self-righteous, strutting, overcompensating troglodytes.

tee hee hee, tee hee hee,

who the fuck made anyone here god of what is acceptable and what isn't acceptable.

Massive ego.......
