he said maybe something on taking a description of analog and try to figure out what it means and look deep into it. so like people say 'gritty' or 'warm' - so he said look into and find out what that means... which sounds confusing and i don't know how to write a title with the words 'warm' or 'gritty' in it any ideas?

he said ask my m8s what they thought as well and i don't have that many into gear so I'm gonna ask you guys

what would you find and interesting topic on the subject of analog/digital? what do you guys think would be a cool hypothesis?

I think the more interesting observation to realize is that maybe it's not all about perfection. Look into how the grittiness / warmth comes from coloring the sound through the imperfections of the medium. Tape saturation is highly sought after for a reason, just look at how many plugins there are trying (and failing) to emulate it. Maybe the reason a lot of people are drawn to analog because it isn't a robotic, perfect, cold representation of audio.

digital is just a slightly too perfect attempt to try and recreate analogue, but in being more perfect, it's actually a bit creepy, cos perfect isnt natural
