Just a quick query to you guys ...

I'm trying to expand my collection of Bassline tracks (not neccesasrily mixes, but more standalone MP3s). Would any of you guys happen to know of any good websites, record stores etc. in London that I would be able to use ...

Any help would be much appreciated - thanks

Is this the next NLR release? When? What will the other tracks be?

Nice work getting stuff signed to them either way.

Also, added your myspace to the ever growing list.

Big up

this is not gon be released on NLR as far as we speak , its gon be on my CD LP , it 's somewhere in between Dubstep & Bassline 4X4 , out on ResoFantom recordings , i will keep you updated with it if you like mate.

The sean paul remix dats on my myspace might end up on a bootleg vinyl , and who knows there could be a dubstep remix too , but thats all supposition , i dont fuck with bootlegs of course :D 8)

Right dunno if he's younger....but he's got some blinders.

I reckon they're getting taught this lfo shizzle in school now....dammit! I'm being upstaged by teenagers! This has inspired further Fruity Loopage...as if I didn't already spend enough time on it.

Basslinez – Bassline & Garage

Bassline has been considered the North of England’s response to the UK Garage phenomenon of the late Nineties and early Naughties.

Building up at clubs and events such as the Niche Nightclub, Bassline was for a long time just that, a Niche genre.
In 2008 however, the UK has gone Bassline crazy!

Since this years chart topping hits of H Two O & Platnum’s ‘What’s It Gonna Be’, T2’s ‘Heartbroken’ and Delinquent Ft Kat ‘My Destiny’ Bassline has gone from strength to strength with top selling compilations galore.

Now Big In Ibiza continues this Bassline frenzy with the mix compilation Basslinez – Bassline & Garage showcasing some more of the new Bassline anthems and some Old Skool Garage flavas
all mixed in with some huge Dance classics.
First up is the Love Assassins take on the classic 80’s classic and later 90’s Garage anthem, ‘Teardrops’, remixed by the production team behind the No.2 chart success of H Two O’s ‘What’s It Gonna Be’ and two of Bassline’s oldest producers.

Agent X also take up the buttons and remix the second track, The Angry Kids new mix of Bob Marley’s ‘Mr. Brown’.

Another huge production team in the form of the Wideboys get on to remix for the third track, which is another new take on the classic Tito Puente track, ‘Oye Como Va’ and definitely doesn’t fail to deliver.

The compilation continues down this same path with various classic anthems including CRW’s ‘I Feel Lovc’ and Pragha Khan’s ‘Injected With A Poison’, however the compilation also sees remixes of some newer hits, in Pete Pritchard’s take on Connected Ft Max’C ‘A Feeling’ (set to surely be one of this summers biggest dance tracks) and DJ Absurd’s mix of Fonzerelli ‘Infinity’.

Tracklisting:

1. Love Assassins - Teardrops (Agent X remix)
2. The Angry Kids Vs Bob Marley - Mr. Brown (Agent X Remix)
3. Tito Puente Jnr Ft India - Oye Como Va (Wideboys Bassline Remix)
4. MDubs Ft The Emperor Richie Dan - Over Here (Sugar Shack Breakbeat Funk Mix)
5. Fonzerelli - Infinity (DJ Absurd Bassline Remix)
6. Tom Neville - Just F*** (Dirty D Remix)
7. Praga Khan - Injected With A Poison (Krafty Kutz Remix)
8. CRW - I Feel Love (R.A.F Zone Remiz)
9. Connected ft Max'C - A Feeling (Pete Pritchard Classic Mix)
10. Anne-Marie Smith - Stronger (Joey Musaphia’s Classic Anthem Mix)

OUT NOW :D

YASS! This thread looks awesome, just what I've been after, really starting to dig bassline stuff, not really sure what niche or 4x4 is though...

Who's making the heaviest/darkest shit? That's usually where I start for all genres of music haha...

Best mix set? Usually a good place to start too...

Holla!

ok for producers check out people like wittyboy, nastee boi, mr v aka virgo, trc, dj q, ill mana, first born, burga boy. the list goes on and on.

as for niche its not a type of music but a club where the music started. 4x4 bassline is the heavier side to bassline

Sounds good to me! Not really diggin' a lot of the rnb/garage vocal stuff... I just want basslines!

I'll check out those producers though, cheers!
