Not really sure why Dubstep and Grime get looped together so much..

90's Rule!

Off-Topic: Because 2-step Garage turned into Dubstep & Grime

It's amazing to me how many people don't know this, and how many people think it was born from DnB

Yeah me too. I was way into the stoner rock sound. I even had a band or 3 in the 90's.

Kyuss
C.O.C.
Helmet
Clutch
Tool? why certainly.

Take a minute to jam some Kyuss...

Swervedriver is one of my top 5 favourite bands of ALL TIME!!!!And one of my biggest influences as a guitarist!!!

KILL THE SUPERHEROES!!! FTW!!!

You and I would've been best friends in the '90s!!!!I used to play in shoegaze/noisepop bands in the early 90's!

I wish I coulda gone to Coachella to see them this year.... :(

What you know about Kyuss son??!!

Those guys were from near my old stomping grounds!Used to see them all the time when they were just "a local band".I still have local music zines with all kinds of interviews with them.

Queens are good too,but Kyuss was just a bit better in my opinion.

Prolly not as much as you then but they were my favorite band back in the day. I saw them a couple times in concert. Blues For The Red Sun is still my fav. I think that was the closest they came to capturing their sound on tape. Bad menz. Good 90's

I was late to pick up on the Dubstep - the term kept popping up on my D+B online shop and I thought it was just a "jungle style" revival type thing until I listened. It was everything good about D+B but pitched down..I loved it immediatly - I was commuting to work from Philly everday and the drive was too chaotic for supersonic amens non-stop - so the pace was a perfect change for me.

I haven't been deep on any scene recently, as I have been caught up with serious work/prison.

The net is keeping me vaguely connected..

This was released in '89.The Roses began in about '85.The only 90's tunes they actually did in the 90's was "Second Coming".Which in itself was the biggest diappointment.

And Bran Van was lame.So were The Rentals.I hated the fact that after Stereolab started becoming indie darlings all these lame LA bands started copying the two female moog playing backup singer thing.Beck blew up and everyone wanted to score another "Loser".When Weezer got big, everyone was all trying to be that Rivers Cuomo guy,who was only trying to be Jarvis Cocker anyway.

Weezer was decent and Stereolab was ace as fuck though.Beck I saw (the first time) about a year before "Loser" came out at a Babyland and Ethyl Meatplow show at Bogart's in Long Beach. He was just some random who got up between sets and did his thing.

Well, I was born in 1990 so I only got into Stone Roses when I was like.. 7-8?

So for me, they're 90s

I'm not that educated on what went on for those 10 years but I enjoyed it! I was young and innocent, life was good.

Good times indeed.Every generation gets thier time to grow and thier time to experience. The 80's was my growing period, but the late 80's through the 90s(and early 2000s)I was old enough and could actually afford to see the hundreds of shows I've seen,go the places I wanted and had no fear in doing so!Gettin' wasted, tryin' drugs....all the good things in life... :D
