thats where the dj's have got to show their skills. i.e mr yunx - although i know he can take it up a few notches...

this is how most bookers and promoters look to it here (prob in uk also)... sorry for you, but it will be the future... IMO

Yeah exactly, Youngsta's a quality DJ but skills like that are more like the exception than the rule.

nah...not the exception...just gotta work hard at it. and know a few people also...

Jospeh J, if you had read my comment from the right angle, you would realise that my comment on alientated customers was with regard to yours on saying that if people really want the fresh music they need to get good at djing and get in with the right people.

This alienates people because as I said before they may not have the time, money or knowledge to become a DJ. Plus for me, there is NO dubstep scene at all in and around Southampton (I wouldn't be surprised if I was the only person that listened to dubstep in and around where I live). So I have to make at least a 100 mile round trip each time I go to a fwd or dmz.

Anyway there is a point to this somewhere, oh yeah....By making a few more tunes more accessible to someone like me, would make a huge difference in keeping me interested, up to date and more encouraged and entusiastic about my djing.

or you could start a night.

yeah or write yr own stuff - thatll keep yr rubs fresh and yr djing interestin..

I thought thi thread was about bare rewinds in a set, not the done and dusted arguement of dubplate culture (which like everything has it's good and bad points).

Bare rewinds = not good
Effective rewinds = bloody good
Long release times = unavoidable
people whinging about the times = inevitable.
