it seems to me, phobang, that you're not going to get anywhere with this by approaching people in a thread. perhaps talking to the mods by way of PMs would yield a more positive result? speaking to the people in this forum, in a defensive way, is only going to cause an offensive reaction in the crowd.

Sure the emperor's clothes are a little thin, (whose aren't?) but you never get anywhere trying to expose him to the crowd that adores him, do you?

i hope you have some really good websites online right now to match all this web wizardry you keep claiming to have? now that you're publicly campaigning for changes, its only fair that i publicly ask for more info about the services you're offering and the results online at the moment. .

on a general level i feel that the way you approached this issue is the cause of the hostile response you've received. you can have no idea about the people who run this forum, and no context to understand what this is, but from what i can see you waded in making accusations about profiteering, then making demands, not requests, as if its like a civil liberty to have embedded mp3s!

take the rules from the something awful forums so people will stop crying over stupid things, or they will be banned for stupidity. but it becomes a police state then.

there are so many different forums and each have their own rules. some are more strict than others. there are forums where if you post something like "hi i'm new here!" you will be brutally made fun of for being such a retarded newb. "lurk more" is actually something i stand behind, for the most part.

imo, the forums are pretty good the way they are, as far as web forums go. i just wish people used better grammar. also, i wish "me too!" posts would go away, but they usually don't.

its already easy to find, share, download, promote, sell or get help with music on this forum.

Its free from Uk2.net - you just have to pay for the call though.

Thats what i meant, the call time. Depends how much you use the internet and if you were on 56K you would hardly be using it for a massive amount of time blahblahblah.
