sample and resample and reresample etc..
try to split those frequencys and widen them each their own way
you're high freqs might have to be widened with 16 voices and a stereo imager
while your lows should stay rather in the middle or otherwise.
i'm not an expert on this and i'm still practising myself,
but i've had some pretty good results.
you could also try to resample and split into your right, middle and left channel

cheers
Good advice.

Shameless thread necro none the less!

So i use FL 8 and i have some of the basics down and i've done just about every tutorial and messed around with the wobble basses that i've made but i can't get anything that i consider usable in songs. i want to create a wobble (or is it another kind of bass? idk i am fairly new) that starts at 0:27 that goes through about 0:34 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFu2DfPDGeU that's the link thanks for anyone who helps :D

For reese basslines, i'm not quite sure if i've got this right, so ive got my bassline sample i create 2 copies and and split each of them to a certain frequency band and then change the lfo rates, would it be good to do this in simpler in ableton live apply eq3 on each 1st simpler will have only low frequency band on etc, or have 3 of the same vst open and apply the eqs to them and change their individual lfo rates inside the program.

[MOD EDIT]

Use the forums or the stickies. Don't make me have to edit a post mid thread again.

Anyone end up posting or finding any fm8 wobble/dubstep related tutorials, guides or whatever? Would love to read more into fm8 as I've Bern playing round with it a bit lately.. Every guide goes into aspects of fm8 that I don't really need atm.

Make a sound in FM8 ----> LFO to filter cutoff -----> instant wobbleschitz?
