Premier

Rustie is the don these days though, really like Heralds Of Change too but I couldn't pick one producer out of them cause their stuff on their own isn't as good imo.

Swizz Beatz, hands down. I don't know why no one has mentioned him yet.

4th Disciple is really good and somewhat unknown producer for Wu-Tang. Compared to The Rza anyways. He produced all of Killarmy's beats(if you don't know about Killarmy you are missing out on some serious wu business) and some classic wu tunes like Gravediggas - Dangerous Mindz(one of the sickest beats of any genre ever) and Wu-Tang - Wu Gambinos plus a load of other shit I can't remember. He used to live 5 miles from here so I gotta give him some props.[/code]

Dilla

Dilla beats soothe my soul like no other

other favorates
Primo - a godfather
Pete Rock - a godfather
El-P (hes on some whole other shit)
Madlib for his unorthodox sample choices

I really like Rustie at the moment, but this thread needs more love for the south, so I'm also going to throw in Zaytoven, Organized Noize and second Block Beataz

Organized Noize don't get enough respect, their beats on the earlier Outkast albums are amazing.

Yeah I mean hes not amazing, so I guess I shouldnt of listed him. I just remember a phase where I rinsed alot of his stuff.

Its a shame hes fairly uncreative at drum patterns and uses the same drum samples for EVERY track. Other than that, hes sick at chopping samples.

I retract 9th from my list.

9 th is sick, rinsed the first two little brother albums to death when they came out, can't beat that shit.
