oh, and my remedy to this dub hoarding problem is to make my own tunes for me, and no one else... start throwing that in with other shit when i play out more.

It's a chinchilla. My ex-girlfriend used to have one of the annoying little fucks.
CATS FTW!!!
But yeah...I thought this was more main topic material as well.At least until the mudslinging started, then it kinda lost tact, therefore rendering the thread SNH material.
Here's how it works:
Random thoughts + myriad opinions •
/• (Ninjas + Trolls) x (DJs/Producers^2 + LOLcats + the nasty bodybuilding forum hag) - rational behaviour + SMH = SNH
Math works kids!

I didn't move this one, but the reason would be that the same thread has been done a million times, both on this forum and many others. I'm afraid people will just have to agree to disagree.
edit - for example:

I felt like you did at one point, but then I realised that I was just wanting something that I couldn't have.
Once you clock that you want the music because you like the music, you're sweet. Wanting what you can't have and complaining about it is what pussies do. The tunes usually DO come out, they DO get played on countless sets and at countless raves, you DO NOT need a 320kbp/s MP3 or a fresh vinyl to feel content. Getting them won't make you feel better.
And on a side note, if I ever ran a label and got an email from someone saying that if I didn't release X then they'd boycott my releases I would send back an MP3 with 3 minutes and 56 seconds of silence and a Autotuned 'Fuck off' at the end.
The Napster generation is going to be the death of music if we're not careful.

Ohh I dunno about this - sometimes you can spend days, weeks, months even years on a tune and you feel insanely proud of it and you just want a selected group of people / just you to have the tune and for them/you to play it TO people instead of them just going out and putting a bit of money in your pocket...
I mean you could go out and buy a new sick tune by 'x producer' batter it, hear it most radio stations for a few weeks even months then it goes in the back of the bag for a rainy day when you can't afford new tunes...It just has a novelty to it when you know you're one of very few who has this tune, makes a tune more special when you play it even if it is just to friends!

Dunno that any dubstep tune has taken years to make. If it did then it better be so good that it just finishes dubstep scene right there and then and everyone should move onto something else like cyberfunk or some shit.
