Put the work in and it will pay off even if you lose friends or have to be locked away 14 hours a day producng.

Ive lost girlfriends and mates due to music but what you got to look at is the people who stick by you, they will be the strengh even when your eating tesco value beans on toast.

I will use the presets first on the eq's that i have until i get closer to how i want it to sound, usually a low fi setting and the boost the highs when applied to snare and hi hats.

for kicks i usually have two layers, one cut down too 500hz with the very low 25hz taken off. Ill have the other kick around 80hz-150hz depedning on how punchy its it then boost the high a tiny bit at 2000hz.

theres no set rule really that i stick to i go by ear a lot of the time to be honest.

Filters i do pretty much the same to i do it by ear and usually use a tiny amount of distortion which is hi passed to bring a sound to life.

Sometimes re arranging the sequence of effect like eq after reverb or visa versa can give different effect or add power or take it away so have a mess around dont stick to the rules.

yeah i mash the hell out of it so no one can pirate it,i have have been burnt through piracy which is ironic

lots of limiter and a glitch's should do the trick.

If your not bothered though and want it to sound nice, render a short clip at 320kps.

i usually go for 160kps so i can have the full 5 mins.

ok since the start of this year i have started 131 tracks, i have finished 12 of those and they are not album things they are remixes and other and dancefloor stuff.

Sometimes i may like a drum pattern but not be inspired to do much else so it will get save so i can return later then ill start something new then maybe starting the new track will inspire me to make the one i saved previous.
out of the ones you finish how many of them will you give out/release/play out yaself? :D

Which of your tracks are you most happy with?

How many girls can you have on the weekend when the album comes?

What trainers have you got on?

Out of the tunes i make i rarely give any out at all keep them and st on them untl i have forgotten them and then play them at a later date to see if im feeling them.

Release wise you neve know what someone might be feeling and what you dont feel yourself might turn out to be big.

For the first year i didnt play any of my own tunes at all because the sound qualty wasnt there and i knew itd piss me off hearng muffled snares and stuff.

These days i play one of my tunes every 3 in a set.

I do two types of set ive built a deep rollng set techno style and ive built a deep soul vibe set. Plannng on taking everything live this year to be like a real artist because djing limits thngs a bit for me.

I know why you're called Jack Sparrow! It involved a night on the lambsbread in a posh flat in Leeds. The full title was "Captain Jack Sparrow and The Wank Synth Crew" I seem to recall....
