you try to explain this to the tech step kids, but they're all "ZOMG dark dnb is the hardest thing in the world!!". Sorry kids, but Vex'd own the piss out of Evol Intent.

I mean, what is speed anyway? you know who else isn't fast? Godzilla. Does his slowness stop him from crushing cities? nope, not at all. I don't understand why music needs to be fast.
I wasn't even talking about dark dnb but on that subject I don't think stuff by Tech Itch, Evol Intent, Limewax etc. is really that ''dark''- in the same way stuff by Source Direct, Photek etc. is dark. There's no suspense or atmosphere to it, it's just cut a pentagram into a youth centre wall music.

DIZZEE RASCAL! sorry, when I saw the video for I luv u i thought this is it, rinsed boy in da corner and some other budget grime then picked up on plasticman, slaughter mob and the rephlex comps and introduced the dubstep sound to T dub town, which is beginning to sit up and take notice.

nice one, now maybe you could compare shackleton with sade on which one has the most emotional music or skream with james brown based on which one makes you dance more...

hatch made up the name? he really influenced the sound but i'm 100% it was neil tempa who made up the name. i even heard that hatcha was telling people i made up the name, which isn't true at all...

oh seen my bad, i never looked into it that much. i heard hatcha call it that so thats wot i called it. good name though. sums it up nicely!

im not the best for facts, memory, braincells, lighters (always end up wid someones lighter at the end of the nite! oh dear im the dreaded lighter thief! dont mean it though i swear!) Tune names (fuck nos! i just make them up, im better now though but ive laid of the naughty stuff! even when i do no them i get the tracks confused),

Came back form living in Australia about four years ago... asked my mate dave what he'd been listening to and he put freeze on the radio (west london pirate... used to be deadly, not so great these days).

First tune taht came on was Jon E Cash "War". Said wtf is this... spent the rest of the night smoking the funk and listening to grime.

The next week he took me down to Forward's second birthday... I can remember Hatcha playing with Rodney P on the mic.

I was hooked... Quite mad going down to FWD over the last few years and hearing the music progress... used love Hatcha's conga style...proper steppin'.

Biggest dubstep moment... hearing Youngsta drop Horror Show at FWD for the first time.

btw whatever happened to Jay da Flex??? Also Benny Ill's warmups used to be killer.
