loved every second i was in there. joe was VERY VERY ON POINT it with jukali, skepta, and jammer. that blackdown plate sounded a million times better on a big system than the other times ive heard it. mala was perfect. pure vibes. this music is spiritually essential.

Anyway, fucking proper last night. Everyone else laid it down solid too. Moldy had a nice set downstairs (it was early though 11-12) Dave Q and Joe Nice dropped some heavy damage upstairs before and after Mala. If you where in the area and did not come out.....shame.....you have no excuses.

i must mention though - Joe Nice - i really underestimated this dude and now I feel foolish...I had nice expectations but dude just tore them up. His set (right up to when Jammer & Skepta joined him) was absolutely tearing the fucking place down. monstrous. i felt like it kind of derailed his momentum when the MC's got on, but whatever, it was still great. but up till that point, just ridiculous.

great time, endless up to dave q for putting it on, i got there right as mala started so it was kinda late and i didn't get to meet anyone, but the vibe was great. everyone in that place seemed like they were loving the shit out of it (rightfully so).

this shit needs to happen more often!!!

Thanks to everybody who helped make it what it was. Everybody supporting this scene and contributing mad energy and positivity. It's beyond words what took place inside Dub War last night. Huge huge respect to all the amazing people I met and all those who traveled great distances to come. I'll write more when I wake up from the daze but I really want to express my complete gratitude.

another thing that blew me away about the last two nights is that we had grime vs dubstep b2b events and both nights were over 100+ people thru the doors.

are people coming back to grime again...4 years later? will dubstep blow up in america? i'm waiting to see. one thing's for sure....the virus is taking shape...

i didn't say this before in my hasty comments (was about to be out the door), but last night was certainly a defining musical moment for me, and i'm sure others feel the same way. i've seen a lot of live music of all kinds in the last 10 years, and feelings like the ones i was feeling last night during mala & nice's sets don't happen very often. fucking amazing, transcendent music last night. one love.

I share much of that sentiment with ya. Mala's set in particular really hit me and I sincerely hope the promoters get him back again this year.
