One year on, and with a string of successful parties that have featured heavyweights such as Commix, Nu:Tone and Cluekid to their name, Soltek returns on July 8th to kick off the summer with their 1st Birthday bash, and a brand new residency at The City Arts & Music Project Basement in Old Street.

Not afraid to celebrate in true Birthday fashion, Soltek welcomes to centre stage two of the most exciting artists in the current bass music scene, Phaeleh and Joe Syntax. Support comes from special guest dj Seldom Cinq and Soltek residents

Bristolian producer Phaeleh has been making waves in the dubstep scene for some time now. His unique sound has garnered support from the scene’s leading artists, including Skream, N-Type, Scuba, Distance, Kryptic Minds, Oris Jay, RSD and Jakes to name but a few, as well as radio support on BBC Radio 1, BBC Asian Network, BBC 6 Music and Kiss FM.

This has helped Phaeleh to top the sales charts with releases on Surface Tension, Against the Grain & his very own imprint Urban Scrumping as well as future releases on Skream’s Disfigured Dubz, N-Type’s Wheel & Deal Records and label of the moment Black Box. We can’t wait to have him test The CAMP’s bassbins for what will no doubt be a special set!

Joe Syntax started producing in 2007 and has since gone on to release on a number of labels including Hospital, Med School, Allsorts, Blu Saphir and Grid Recordings. In this time, he has also gained the respect of some of the scene’s pioneers with Fabio, Hype and London Elektricity amongst his legion of supporters. Joe came to the attention of Med School with his track “Expectra”, which enjoyed iTunes Dance Album Top 10 success as part of the “New Blood 010″ compilation. He went on to sign exclusively to Med School and has not looked back since.

Having been listed as one of K Mag’s ‘Top 10 Producers To Watch In 2011’ and armed with a plethora of hot Med School dubs,as well as the imminent release of his debut solo single – “Signal Drop / Sightlines feat. Jono McCleery” -one thing’s for sure…all eyes will be firmly fixed on Joe Syntax as we look to the future. His debut Soltek appearance promises to be unmissable!
