£200 quid spends again, fuck this is getting drastic!
nope still not been paid my overtime properly

had to spend loads of
my time trying to sort out money that they owe me ffs. well annoying
I hate that. I had a job that would fuck up my hours totals EVERY WEEK, for close to 4 months. Payday wasnt even fun anymore cause I knew that it was gonna turn into a big hassle. Wasnt just my check either, there was always a line of fellow employees with screwed up checks too. Lame. I feel for you man.
Im lucky right now, our payroll guy here is dope, will check up with you days in advance of payday if there seems to be a problem or something he cant work out, and he always errs on your side not the company's... plus he's just a genuinely nice guy.

well the HR department here is ridiculously bad. there's really absolutely fucking terribly awful, and then there's HR at the home office. it took me 4 weeks to get a reply after i emailed them last pay day, i got a reply yesterday (the day before i got paid). rubbish

it doesn't even make sense what they've paid me either. just completely utterly wrong, too much of one thing, not enough of another. grrrr

Probably a bit tied up given the amount of Ministers you get through. To be honest though, it's silly that one Minister gets the chop after 5 minutes in the job when it wasn't directly their fault...that's accountability though I suppose.
Looking forward to the next scandal.

that's why most government departments are going to agency status. if it's an agency that's not directly linked to the government people are not going to needlessly get sacked/resign over stuff that isn't really that much to do with them
i don't think HR's got anything to do with that though. i just think the home office is probably one of the worst run businesses ever. if this was a private company heads would roll but people just get away with laziness or just plain being shit at their job for some reason here. bureaucracy i guess...

Interesting use of the word 'business' there! I can imagine micromanagement goes on at scales I can only imagine.

well it is a business, the amount of money the government gets from visa applications is silly.
yeah the management is awful, there's so many things that people know are wrong, but we have to do it anyway because it's in "the rules". it's infuriating

i just found out that one of the guys has already done similar work to mine, the stuff i am rapidly running out of time to do... i just got him to email the whole lot to me...
genius
oh and the 15 mins health and safety video on manual handling (i mean wtf do i manually handle other than a mug of coffee everynow and then?!) has been cancelled on account that the laptop to play it on has "disappeared"...
double genius

Dr DDD...If the work was done in a word document, make sure you paste it into a new document. You don't want to be caught out by the pesky 'properties' box!

yeah, the life of the unemployed.
right now the govt pays me to wake up sometime between noon and 2pm and smoke pot and play music all day. not to mention waste entirely too much time on the internet.
life is good.
