Here's a challenge for some one, or not if there clever!
I'm sure its really simple, Mayb the initial Womp followed by a pitch bend down on a mid range/ subby noise.

obviously i don't expect to get a response about the bark but at least the first bass of the drop thats made by cookie?
I assume it was made with Subtractor/Maelstrom + Scream 4 but I know next to nothing about making decent sounds in reason and am trying to learn how to do so
Funtcase computer music tutorial...
there's a post in the production section somewhere with links to it

Always liked the dark lead in this. I thought it was a variation of a Reese with a hp filter and loads of resonance?

Hey dubstep producers. New here, Firstly I'm not a dubstep producer, because I'm a hard house producer, don't laugh! hear me out!. I've really become interested in the awesome sounds you guys are coming up with and have been messing around with wobbles, womp bass etc within hard house.
Anyway a track has come out on the hard house scene called Hardstep by BK with a couple of 'dubsteppy' sounds included. I'd really love to know how to recreate the vocal/yoi/womp? sound so clear, whenever I use bit reduction, I get a load of frequency content within the sound that a simple low pass filter of the frequency content doesn't seem to fix. So really clear sounding vocalised synths? I've yet to find a tutorial that makes it so clear sounding. I think you are the people to ask everyone at hard house forums are creating stringy synths.
Sample is on and off throughout the first 15 seconds

I have one well.. several.. I'm a big fan of reso and always wondered how the fuck he makes those robot-apacalypse sounds
As an example check the sound at precisely 1:11 in this vid:
well, in the Computer Music magazine they do a masterclass vid with Reso and he breaks down his song "War Machine" and shows you how he made some of his sounds including his signature wobble its a good vid you should watch it its about an hour long too :/
link?
you have to buy the issue. It's Issue 159. I recommend picking it up because it also has a masterclass video with Icicle, The Qemists, & High Rankin.

This song hasn't been released yet by Flux, but the bass he drops is friggen massive (somehow it sounds filthier on a live video)...I think it consists of formants and square saws but does anyone know how to achieve a similair type of sound? And have that much fatness to it? I hear the high pitched osc but how does he gets such thickness to the sound? (besides detuning, voicing, and lpf)
modulation: ring mod ocs1, RM full
phase, ocs 1, pahse full
insert `1: p shaper full on both
fx: b-tube full on both
pop a dimention expander on there n boost the highs in the eq n u got flux, also put another eq on it n lift up the highs, where as makin it sound fat, as far as i can tell, add bass n sub bass to it

not entirely sure but try massive, make a wob with modern talk n maybe scrap yard ocs's n get dblues glitch vst n add that too it n solo the delay on the dblue glitch, then just shape the sound in massive

unless you thoroughly know your way around massive, dont even try to recreate datsiks sounds. there is a LOT of envelopes and lfo bullshit all over the effects and in places you wouldnt imagine.

its hardly a datsik sound, if you listened to better dubstep you'd realise that a lot of non filth artists use the same sound, eg, sp:mc lx one kryptic minds, plus i do know my way around massive quite well, i only used datsik as an example cause datsik is an infamous name around the forum and will get more attention than sp:mc for example

While this is sortof true, trying doesn't hurt anything, the sound he was asking about was nothing too fancy, and the sounds in general aren't too hard to get with less filters than what you're thinking, I reckon even if you know nothing about massive you should still try and learn it, Or better try and learn it on a different synth.

i can make the sound, its just a basic reese ran through 2 filters in series with mid cutoff and resonance on the first filter and lower settings on the other, and then the cutoff (for example) is automated, or has an envelope. i was just hoping some one with a bit of experience on makin this type of sound could shed some light on it, its not hard to make at all, i was just hoping for some depth of peoples

Hey guys Im real new here and I was just wondering how Chrispy makes his sound. Sorry if this is a poor request but Im very curious
Audioslave wrote:I've been searching the whole forum and didn't found some tips/hints on this one yet: (strange)
How do I make the sound and TIMING Jakes often uses in his tracks.
I'm talking about the track 3kout:
Basically I want to know what kinda technique he uses to make his psycho weird wobbles
Oh and to prove that I'm not a Jakes obsessed guy, here's a massive tune by Dark Tantrums & Kromestar which kinda features the same technique
I'm not talking about the high sound, but I'd like to know how to make the sound on the background. (especially the Rhythm and timing)
Two more songs that feature similar bassline's so you guys really know what I mean: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArGz01un ... ge#t=9319s
^massive track btw, don't have info on it ..
RDG - Elephant craft (Unreleased) also features this technique a bit at the first drop, but he uses Ableton and I use Reason
I really hope some, preferably Reason, user can help me on this one!
Or at least tell me what these sounds are called! ;D
