i'm just like that. Lately I found a trick that seems to work: I try to visualize my stupid thoughts. Since the moment right before I finally fall asleep is always accompanied by visuals, I try to force that moment to come faster by picturing my thoughts, or part of them. It seems to stop them from being so abstract and hectic. I start by visualising a car/a person/whatever and then I just follow that image unfold. When I lose it, I'll pick another. Even if it won't get you to sleep, it surely is a much more relaxing activity than banging your thoughts around in your skull.

It should make it easier, unless you're trying to sleep when u're not even tired. That can't be helped in my experience..

or, listening to audio-books on headphones also helps sometimes. depends on the audio-book I guess. I've been listening to Dan Gilbert - "Stumbling on happiness" (it's not one of those stupid self-help ones, it just sounds like it) and it does the trick almost everytime.

nothing is worse than that. I hate when other peoples bloods get on my heels and sometimes underneath my nails. uuuuugh.

- oh, and spending almost an hour on the phone just to find out a fact I already knew ( double checking ).

Yeah the guy was mental. This was at a party, he was fucked, started on everyone, fell over on glass and sliced his face and neck open, then got shards of glass and slashed his wrists to pieces. I managed to rinse off most of the big blood patches luckily, but theres still specks on it.

Don't worry about it, mate; The kids of Bangkok will only grow up to be prostitutes and triads, anyway.
