also, that isnt really it, because if I want the tail end of the reverb to go longer than where the next clap comes in, it will put that MASSIVE reverb on the next clap, which I do not want, think layering is the only way

Don't see the need to try it out right now, because I don't have any 64bit plug-ins, but it's idea is to create a bit bridge of some sort. It lets you run 64bit plug-ins in Live's 32bit environment. :)

I'm just interested to know how it handles, I guess. :6:

Oops, just saw your other post.

That's why you use a SEND, not a plug-in on the channel itself. The reverb will not be cut off, neither will it affect the following clap. :)

It's amazingly useful. Glad I could be of help!

Not knowing that has definitely not stopped you from making nice music though. :4:

nope which illustrates nicely how there is always a work around...still always good when you do find out the shortcut ;)

bonus mini tip - shift+tab flicks between midi/audio window of a clip and the fx panel.

F12 does the same, yet I always use Shift+Tab. :)

i recently found out about the F12 equivalent, shift+tab is easier for me. F12 is a fair reach, that bottom left area of the keyboard is action-stations where left hand hovers whilst right hand is on the trackball. right hand also takes care of zooming in+out with - + on the numpad.

I tend to reach for CTRL+ALT+L and CTRL+ALT+B a lot. The first one hides the FX/Clip lane and the second one - the browser.

Those will be useful. A lot of shortcuts I have not learned yet....

I do use CTRL+ALT+S and CTRL+ALT+R a lot for sends and returns.

Just a quickie if anyone want's a good way to emulate the MPC's 1 chop sound, if you click the IO button on the drum rack, or a group of simplers (whichever) and adjust the choke setting to 1, it sounds just like it (2 me anyway).

everyone in here probably already knew this :-(

If you want to record notes youre playing you have to highlight the little clocking looking thing to the right of the solo botton on the midi channel then hit record

There's not much to explain really. You just press record and bang away. Try the overdub button next to the transport panel (where the play and stop buttons are) and see which one you prefer. :)
