Oh, totally. I was only 9 when Blackburn won it but said the same thing when Abramovich started throwing the money round at Chelsea.

The City fans I know are WAY more annoying though.

yet I don't recall Arsenal fans complaining when winning the league under George Graham when 1:0 to the Arsenal was the most popular of terrace chants

I'll be clear I'm a Liverpool fan and would far prefer a hollow blue manc victory than a legitimate red manc one but I think as fans we either have to accept the input of money in whatever form or we look to try and level the playing field. It's a completely different game than the one I started following but given the cash the teams with the larger fan bases can generate I can't really complain when someone decides to become some teams benefactor

Don't think that's the point think the point is to win however you do that is up to you.

If you're Stoke or West Brom yes. You cant expext neutrals to like a team that plays for 1-0s with £30m players in the squad

Or Arsenal when they didn't have tons of money?

The views of neutrals should have absolutely no place in the decision making of a football club. I'm pretty sure that the only 30m+ player they had was Shevchenko who was signed after the first two titles under Mourhino.

It's a sport the point is to win not entertain those who are watching the game with no real vested interest.

My reasoning was for why Chelsea annoyed me more than City, nothing more

Yeah I get that and it's understandable, I just wonder sometimes if we don't celebrate some of the changes in football over the last 20 years only to criticise some of the very logical directions the game has gone down as a result.

One thing i forgot to mention : Welbeck's attempt to get De Jong sent off was pathetic. I used to get so embarressed when Eboue did that

Are you joking? That was fucking awful! There is nothing more boring than watching
a team steal an early goal and sit back and soak up pressure for 70 odd minutes.
Football under Graham was completely contradictory to the style of football that
Arsenal were better know for under Herbert Chapman and Bertie Mee in their
major successive spells.

When Bruce Rioch/Steward Houston took over the tide started turning back and
football under Wenger is a world apart from that hoofball shit under Graham.
(Although I do wish Wenger would drill the defence more.)

Why do you think Italian football was so shit in the 90's/00's? They were still
stuck in the 60's with their catenaccio (sweeper) style football.
Attacking/Counter-attacking and possession football is SO much more exciting!

FYI: "1-0 to the Arsenal" was made up in a European game against PSG.

BTW - last night's game was SHIT. Was such a let-down. Citeh deserved to win
but in all honesty, what a shit game from Utd.

United turned up for 10 minutes then logged off until injury time... City deserved the win, but it was a poor game.

Odd experience supporting United in a Premiership game...

I doubt anyone outside of well versed Arenal fans knew what football Arsenal were known for under Chapman given he managed the side from 1925-1934. Bertie Mee's reign may well have been fresher in the memory but his 10 seasons yeilded 1 championship.

It's not about exciting it's about winning and I don't recall Arsenal fans complaining at the time about the football played while they were winning.
