I thought the whole point of a forum was to chat about shit and have a laugh... obviously not.

The only person I ever hear anything I'd call crying from is you, Seckle. Do you have any opinions on Skream posting the video up to his many thousands of followers. Would be interesting to hear. I guess he's driving girls away from dubstep too.
And your point? These comments and photos were posted here on dsf. What people post elsewhere is on them, and irrelevant.
Do you think Skream is driving girls away from dubstep by posting that video? If you think some bods on a forum are driving girls away from the scene, what's your opinion on one of the figureheads, both artistically and commercially posting the video to his 290,000+ fans with the tagline "L O fucking L"?

Fuck being on a forum where you can't take the piss out of some dumb northerners for getting their finger on at the front of a shitty dubstep rave.

Fact of the matter is what the dude is doing in all those pics and videos is wrong. Some bad humour has brought his actions to light. Good thing imo.

Anyway. If the people behind the DMAs where even remotely professional they'd be all over the net trying to keep a lid on all this shit.

"personally i'm finding this forum quite boring now. good threads get locked or deleted and people get chucked off just for arguing. apart from my occasional posts in the SNHO i hardly come on anymore. its not even like i like listen to dubstep now, just stayed around for the craic but thats being killed off now."

RARELY I find a topic with lots of gems in it, I used to find looooooooooots but I have no idea where to look for it nowadays :/

You're the one looking for women on DSF chubby. I've got a Mrs thanks.

And yeah, I'm not sure taking the piss out of a drunk slut is as big a deal as using a derogative term which offends all disabled people :t:

everyone seems to be missing the point here. yes that video is making a mockery of that girl, who was a fucking idiot to be doing that in the first place, but the issue is the kind of comments that resulted from it. i'm not going to say that skream was doing the right thing in posting that vid because i don't think he was, but as i said, the video isn't the issue. if you think comments like this aren't going to offend people then i don't know where to start

As I said, agreed, sexism is wrong and it went overboard!

But, personally, I think gender issues are the least of the forums concerns within the apparent general downfall of it. If women are offended by this thread, they should speak out and point to those that offended them. I for one, will gladly apologise. I think most of them will have the strength to rise above it all though....

And having said that, It honestly didn't even occur to me to think in terms of gender on a, for me largely (99%) anonymous internet forum about music. I honestly haven't a clue about anyone's gender on here and frankly, it doesn't concern me at all.

You just called her "a fucking idiot".

And Seckle called members of this forum "spastics".

Good job on the double standards guys.

I respect women and don't think it's okay to go fingerbanging a girl in public (if she wants it or not).. but shit some people are acting like it's their sister in the video. It's a rave full of young drunk horny people... not that surprising.

And probably the reason there aren't many girls on this forum is because dubstep (the good stuff) that all the regulars listen to, is mainly a sausage fest scene. Don't make some arbitrary statement about the status of the forum populace just because someone said something you don't like and you want to insult people and then ban them. Bad look.

Besides, we still have Noam... he's girly enough.

Maybe I'm being naive, maybe I've missed the comments it's directed at, but I'm not sure where gender issues have popped their head in amongst some guy awkwardly fingering a girl on the front row of a televised set.

Badger, the comment was aimed at you, the comment was aimed at Seckle and his accusation that a few people joking (Which has now blew up into a massive debate), was driving women away, and I was wondering does he have any opinion on a massive public figure within the scene posting it to far more people than regularly view this forum, least of all this thread.

err? i didn't see the video but from what people said she was completely consensual, in which case she is a fucking idiot for doing that so publicly and i've never said otherwise

does that in some way make it acceptable to joke about rape?

we're getting into the usual dsf circular argument territory so i'm out

Go to urban dictionary and type in spaz / spastic . In america it means a crazy person. In the uk it means a disabled person. Its even been used in south park. Stop trying to divert the real issues addressed. Its fucking obvious that I'm not using it in a derogatory manner in regards to the handicapped. I'm referring to the idiots on here that make these infantile remarks about women, and then cry like babies when they get pulled up on it.
