Hey guys, another bass sound I'm trying to recreate that I've heard in a lot of tunes especially Nero...here's one that's new on UKF at :55 -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEns1nAc ... r_embedded#
I don't wanna copy exactly but how do you go about starting a bass sound like that (NI Massive) ? I'm guessing Sine Square Oscillators with a Saw movement and phaser effects?

Please help me produce this falling reece sweep!! i've heard it before in a few emalkay tracks. i recon its saw tooth, bit of voicing and glide, but thats all i can think of :/
It starts at 30 seconds and it's the main synth throughout the track.

what DAW/synth are you using? there is a number of ways you can make this.
in logic es2: square wave on osc1 and an organ digiwave on osc2 with lots of FM.
in massive: layer up digicook1, crush and a square wave. detune em a bit and fuck with the effects.

Hello people! I was wondering how Trolley Snatcha made the bass that drops around 0:40, I don't want to copy the synth, but to learn the process to create this kind of sounds. Thank you!

I've always wondered how to make mid-range that sounds like this. So clean :O
I am digging the heavy drums.
How would I go about getting them this fat distinct?
I've dabbled with parallel compression but still can't make my beat sound this fat.
Also, I am trying to produce more dub influenced dubstep (lol) and trying to stay away from grimey dubstep,
so does anyone have any tips on the general beat? I hear lots of reverb and delays, but I am having a hard time making mine sound authentic.
stairs.

Hey guys, been through the whole thread and didn't find anything about this sound I'm thinking about.
ITS NOT A BASSLINE.
I want to experiment with a 'wet' clap sound... something like the claps from "Eskmo - Cloudlight"
it sounds like some trails, maybe just a load of layered and slightly off beat claps at different pitches and frequencies but I was wondering if there's some sort of effect which could acheive this.
Any help would be very much appreciated. Cheers

The hit bass sounds all the way through the song, especially at 1:15 (ignore the video)
No idea where to begin, Thanks

It's called a donk.
Pulse wave, filter envelope.

I was looking through this thread just to find out about that sound in roccos revenge as i was directed here from google...sifted through 40 pages before it was even mentioned :p
But i have however enjoyed some of the tips and views shared on here. Great Forum!
One more thing...we're all asking how to make all these sounds yet these pro's came up with them themselves...I think we need to spend more time making our own patches that sound like no one else and maybe in a few years time people will be asking us shit how did you do that?
Buuuut id still like to know how snatcha did that? :p
