theyre not using water cannons because there is only a couple, and they are in northern ireland. it would take days for them to get here even if they wanted to use them...

They have definitely been holding back- got some serious riot vans they haven't really used at all yet.

@ Mr Hyde, yea, really, the last time they were used was in belfast. they only use horses for the football fights.

On seperate note, i saw a load of welsh (hedlu) riot meat wagons heading into town through chessington today.
hope it doesnt kick off in wales. although it probably will, as i said many, many pages back!!

which do you think would be more effective tonight... increased physical presence... more police riot shields and all that... more physical confrontations

or the use of rubber bullets/gas ?


obviously consequences of both.... from everything ive read/seen seems you guys are uping police on the streets tonight something fierce but staying away from water/rubber/beanbags

curfew.

i dont think any of the other options will work, itll only make things worse.

rubber bullets will mean real bullets being fired back at the old bill. no one wants to see more people shooting and looting...

They've got these they haven't really used yet, if they don't use them now then when would they ever use them?
