Has the word selfie replaced the word photo? Every single picture of anyone seems to be a 'selfie', even if obviously taken by a 3rd party.

Wonder if this means stores will fuck off with the .99 thing. Much better to put "Buy this shit for a 20 sheet!" instead of "omg just 19.999999 that's like 19 dollars which is basically 10 dollars because I'm so mentally incapable that I can only read the first digit of numbers!"

Yeah but then they lose 4 cents. I guarantee you some guy got a month's salary to figure out whether the 4 cents lost outweighs the sales volume lost by not brainfucking simpletons with slightly less than whole dollar prices.

Should just round out to the dollar, do away with coins. Anything under a dollar is either toxic or of such unbelievable little worth you should be paid for receiving and having to dispose of the garbage.

Chips would never "come out" $1.04 because theyre a grocery item and are not taxed

The rounding was introduced quite a few years ago in a lot of countries.

the worst thing about america is the stupid way you guys tax things in shops, why not put the full price on the food ffs so i know how much to pay

It's because each different state has different taxes so they price before tax so that companies can advertise across the country without having to have region specific adverts etc

granted it's fucking annoying for us. but that's the reason

yeah i understand that but surely in the actual shop they can add the tax on the little price label below the food

It's also so people think it's cheaper and commit to buying and then at the cash register don't even pay attention to the final price and just swipe their credit card.

Once again unprepared food isnt even taxed so the price on it is accurate

what u mean by unprepared? i remember being confused by extra price on nearly everything i bought
