i don't get peoples hatred for cyclists doing that- can only think its mostly jealousy, because they aren't really a danger to anyone else (guess they are ocassionally if they plough through pedestrians or something).
always seems like the same sort of attitude like the kid that doesnt let others copy his homework, 'i have to sit behid the red light so everyone else should too'.
and yeah, i got a £30 cycling fine the other week!

ermmmmmmm well that's the stupidest thing i've heard recently. Of course cyclists have to stop at red lights.. they are cycling on the road aren't they? If they didn't then a car coming from another direction where the light is now green will just plough straight into them and it could cause a massive accident. The fact they can't take out a car doesn't mean they can't be the cause of crashes and deaths.

I've got no issue with cyclists as long as they don't endanger me or more importantly risk damage to my car. Having had cyclists take off my wing mirrors, or clatter into me at a pedestrian crossing, I've got valid reasons for not liking some of them. Most drive ok, some act like stnuc who the rules of the road don't apply to.
Cyclist on road = road user. End of, IMO.

Bit of leeway depending on the situation though, cyclists filter and have slower starts than the rest of traffic, just like trucks have lower speed limits not everything on the road uses the road space in the same way, a bike filtering through a red light junction to the edge of another roads traffic is quite different risks and potential consequences to a truck going straight over a red light.
But yeah, Im just bitter cos I got a ticket for bumping up on an empty pavement to get around road works at about 2mph- no danger to anyone. And got another going through a red pedestrian light after I had stopped all of the pedestrians had crossed - so again at about 2mph with no danger to anyone. Just seemed like petty rule following for the sake of it when they should be there as a guide with leeway because the set rules are only there because its too difficult to have different rules for every eventuality.

i mean that you couldn't have a different rule for every eventuality written down and known by everyone- hence human judgement and leeway, rather than petty jobsworthing wasting everyones time and money

Yeah cyclists are generally self righteous bums. Saw a bit of an incident earlier where an ambulance was coming up from behind us, so i pulled over to let it go as you do, then there was a cyclist infront of me.... with headphones on, sunglasses, not paying any attention to his surroundings, he was even staring at houses on the other side of the road i think.... anyway the car infront of him pulled over; not cutting the cyclist up or anything, just doing what he had to do, then the cyclist nearly hit the car and got off his bike and had a massive go at the woman.
Cyclist was CLEARLY the moron here, which I let him know when passing
They are quick to point out when drivers do anything wrong, but they all seem to skip lights!
Personally I think they shouldn't even be allowed on the roads, it puts them, and drivers at unneccesary risk. When was the last time a pedestrian got killed by a cyclist? I would actually ride my bike a LOT more if I was allowed to use pavements.

The fake Andy C is one of the funniest accounts I've seen on Twitter
"Experience going to Fabric without actually going by damaging your hearing and paying your local club £8 for a vodka and coke"
"GQ is outside my door trying to push MC Det through my letterbox. He's trying to blackmail me"
"Busy day, me and Jeff are painting my Wood Elf Glade Riders & Lizardmen Skink Regiment for the big battle later against Sigma's Skaven Army"

Feel a bit nerdy seeing as I got the reference.
Trolling my housemate with a mac address filter on the router cause he didn't give me his share of the bill. Thought about just blocking him outright, but I mite let him back on at about 11, wait until I can hear him watching a film or something online, then block him again when it's half finished.
