Ofcourse, I aggree with that but let me ask in another way.
Isn't it proof that they are never going to buy the people who they are reported to be in competition for, when they flaunt about a for example Defoe half year deal (that might even upset the fans), like was reported and then settle on someone slightly better like Welbeck (slightly less cntroversial) but were never really in contention for Falcao (unless ofcourse some super random stuff happened)?
Or is just that Arsene is less 'snobb' than the rest of the bigger clubs and actually believe in the inclusion of older players like for example Berbatov or Kjallström and so on on what seems like a wim?
There seems to be a lot of top hats and pigeons in sleaves tbh

no player's bigger than the club. if afc need him to sit on the bench every week just in case, arsene will do that
shouldnt sell him just because he deserves first team football
the agent should be furious though
great article

can't find a link in english media now
but defoe was rumoured to substitute during Girouds injury period
Imo from what we've heard it's Arsene just shitting on this guy. Travelling forth and back, getting told he would get a chance, having a blinding couple of wc games etc - all the while being content at benfica already. It's a hostage situation and when I've seen him play - he's exactly the sort of fast, deep going attacker they've been lacking since Henry.
Believing Giroud could ever be the sort of targetman van persi is less likely, so I think he is wrong on two accounts.

Most Arsenal fans that know anything about football are fairly happy with Welbeck.
Good potential but was never going to get games with Utd trying to become the new galacticos
Not sure what's going on with Campbell, Wenger obviously doesn't rate what he's seen in training. I wouldn't believe anything you read in caughtoffside though, they make the sun look like a serious sports journal

Ok.
I think they are just concluding what everybody else seems to be thinking. But still good to know.

that's ridiculous though wenger doesn't have some sort of vendetta how can you say it's just arsene "shitting on this guy"
he'll do whatever he thinks is best for the team if he doesn't rate what he's seen of campbell close up he won't be playing him but if he feels the squad lacks a bit of depth he'll hold on to him as long as his contract still runs
doesn't matter if he's "content at benfica"
afc is bigger than one mans alleged happiness

you don't seem to be critical of wenger at all and just buy that fluff.
feel free to do so but I'm not going to try to change your opinion.

Arsenal have got Dortmund away midweek before our game at Villa, you'll at least get a draw

Fucking hell were we unlucky tonight, definitely deserved a draw
The Mulgrew sending off was absolutely ridiculous and whoever it was that tugged Naismith back when he was the last man was lucky to stay on the park. Really liked the look of Anya who scored our goal, took it really well never even heard of the guy before tonight. The 2nd goal we conceded was an absolutely awful goal to concede after all the effort we put on to not be able to defend a simple corner.
2-1 against the World Champions in their own midden is some result

Not the worst result but the defence have gone back to the comedy defending from a few years ago

you really need arteta, i remember a combo last year at the middle of the season in which murky and me were highlighting the good labour of arteta and mertesacker that was the difference to the winner arsenal to the one of other years, i said that the only risk was no substitute in the bench. then he got injured and arsenal sinked

yeah it's not so much the defence it's that midfield that unfortunately doesn't make sence.
I don't think Debouchy has looked that good going back or defending though, which obviously puts an extra work load on Kon and Merte.
Wonderful goals on Arsenals part tbf but it's not looking good in the long run, they have to dictate play with their passing and running and not fighting it out like in this match.
