listened back to a mix i did and there was a point at around a quarter of the way in where i knocked the fader an the tune come in really loud and sounded horrible

decided to re-do the whole thing because im bored and i literally cant get two tunes in beat. i swear im the only person in the world which this happens to aswell.
must be a combination of shitty decks with failing motors and uncalibrated pitch controls and just not being in the right mindset for it.

always happens this way though, ill have one great flawless session and im happy with the outcome, then ill have another go like half an hour later and i struggle to do the simplest of things.

i need some new decks/cdjs and a new mixer and wouldnt mind some new speakers too and im skint as fuck

^mindset definitely makes a huge difference. Sometimes I feel like I am youngsta himself and then the next time I am skrillex

i always seem to manage to bring a song in that completely kills the energy of the mix too
but i think thats cos i usually get to a point where iv had enough and decide just to throw any old random tune in, cos im gonna stop the mix soon anyway and i can always just cut that part out after and end the mix

then i always end up carrying on and wishing i never did it

Happens to all of us. I was doing a uStream thing earlier on and it was going ok, was mainly mixing tunes I hadn't mixed before. Started to go terribly wrong, lost my total of 3 viewers.

i think thats what throws me off at times, trying too hard to pick the right two tunes, if i just pick a tune out that i think will sound at least half-decent and just get on with it, it normally goes well
