I see what youre saying about Exothermic Reaction, listening to it closely on headphones the reverbs a bit OTT, but i reckon it suits the OTT nature of the tune.Phigure wrote:i gotta agree with corny on this one, not a fan of most of his snares (basically the ones from his last few years). the ones like the snares on exothermic reaction or rigging.... they have this over the top reverb and too much white noise. sound like they came straight out of a vengeance sample pack. snares likes the one on gritty are still tasty as fuck though.
Same. Whip crack is a nice touchwobbles wrote:I love the snare on exothermic reaction

i really like the snare on gritty... each to their own tbhJohoosh wrote:I see what youre saying about Exothermic Reaction, listening to it closely on headphones the reverbs a bit OTT, but i reckon it suits the OTT nature of the tune.Phigure wrote:i gotta agree with corny on this one, not a fan of most of his snares (basically the ones from his last few years). the ones like the snares on exothermic reaction or rigging.... they have this over the top reverb and too much white noise. sound like they came straight out of a vengeance sample pack. snares likes the one on gritty are still tasty as fuck though.
Also the snare on Gritty sounds more like white noise to me than any other Skream tune i can think of right now
I dont particularly like it as a snare on its own but it fits the tune nicely: job done. Gritty wouldnt work nearly as well with a lengthy snare i dont reckonscattybeanhead wrote:i really like the snare on gritty... each to their own tbhJohoosh wrote:I see what youre saying about Exothermic Reaction, listening to it closely on headphones the reverbs a bit OTT, but i reckon it suits the OTT nature of the tune.Phigure wrote:i gotta agree with corny on this one, not a fan of most of his snares (basically the ones from his last few years). the ones like the snares on exothermic reaction or rigging.... they have this over the top reverb and too much white noise. sound like they came straight out of a vengeance sample pack. snares likes the one on gritty are still tasty as fuck though.

Yeah he actually did an art exhibition of all the heads at a museum

004 was repressed but 010 hasn't yet, so you'll have to wait for that until the order gets shipped I guessLumiNiscent wrote:What happened to the represses of 004 and 010 ? I ordered them from Redeye nearly two months ago and they're still on pre-order, which is starting to get quite annoying since I've had other records on the same order.
