I don't agree but I feel ya. More Trife Life is eerie as fuck!
While I really like Hell On Earth there are a few duds on it imo. There's more than a couple Wu affiliate albums that are golden throughout. Moreover, the good tracks on Forever (again there's a few duds) kill the good tracks on HOE imo imo. (Although Forever is a double CD so it's not really a fair contest)
While we're at it, I prefer Forever to 36 Chambers.

Yeah I like Forever more than 36 Chambers too. 36's status mostly comes from the stand-out tracks I think. The solo/affiliate albums are usually better than the group albums (Six Feet Deep by the Gravediggaz is better than the group albums), but I don't think any compleetely touches 'Hell On Earth'. More like grazes the surface. Though it took me years to warm up to it completely.
It's close anyway. I'm not being down on the Wu, cuz I think hip-hop as a whole isn't the best 'album' genre, so I'm not expecting consistent albums from it anyway. Wished it did more singles and EPs. Hip-hop's spontaneous feel is sort of lost on albums and half of the tunes usually have filler beats.

Grazes the surface?!? Maaan, you trippin'!
Lol, nah I get ya. I love both Forever and Hell On Earth - tunes from both are in my top 15 most played on itoons (Cash Still Rules, Severe Punishment, Hellz Windstaff and Drop A Gem On 'Em, More Trife Life), but I still prefer Liquid Swords, Cuban Linx, Ironman and Tical over HOE.
The fact that i'm a Kung Fu flick head may well be a major contributing factor to my bias.

Hell on earth is <<< Infamous. The Infamous is clearly Mobb Deep's best body of work to date and probably ever. Musically, The Infamous was probably just as good as 36 Chambers but I would also put Black Moon's Enta Da Stage in that same category. 36 chambers had the best impact of those albums and GZA, Raekwon & Ghostface are better rappers than Prodigy IMO.
Also, Hip Hop's best works have consistently been albums. Hip Hop works just as well on any format, Album, EP, or single. It's mixtapes I despise. The audio quality is generally < albums and if you want to talk about filler, mixtapes might have maybe 4 LISTENABLE songs, let alone great ones, and one standout track that ends up on album a lot of times anyway. I think artist like Wiz and A$ap have wasted good material on mixtapes. Just because many commercial albums try to jam 18 tracks into one disk and subsequently result in much filler, doesn't mean that the album format isn't still the best overall for hip hop artists.

Most good hip-hop releases are albums because everything is on albums and EPs are relatively rare. And a lot of albums would be even better if they were reduced to EPs.

yeah I hate how when I download a mixtape and all of the files are 192 kbps or lower. I remember downloading a mixtape that had 60 kbps files

You should only listen to DJ mixtapes, not artist mixtapes hosted by DJ's tbh. Thats where the real (content) quality is for that scene.

Busta Rhymes used to be one of my favorite rappers. But he does nothing for me anymore. He's hopping on every trend to stay relevant. (Case in point: Awkward Instagram reference.) He used to be the lighthearted party rapper who could convincingly pull off more serious material. Now he's the roided up (dunno if hes actually on roids) gun busting generic, materialistic asshole (still haven't forgiven Arab money). Its pathetic. And that his patois is unconvincing is doubly disappointing for a dude whose Jamaican roots, was on full display in his early albums. He has no real artistic direction.

the coming is still one of my favourite albums, but he's fallen off massively
