But they are doing pre-orders for this release especially.

Its definitely being made to order, but what's stopping a shop like chemical just telling mala / st / whoever that they need 1500 of them regardless of the actual amount of pre orders?

can anyone shed any light?

Pre orders ended on tuesday though and chemical only put that up yesterday so they must of already ordered in a set amount..

From the orders we've received so far most shops & international distros have added additional units to the to the pre-orders they've received. Most of stores will have extra copies in stock at the time of release.

Any chance of getting Mala on Top of the Pops?

Gonna go get mine from tribe so hopefully will get a copy
