still sat here in shock. Woke up today with the intention of cramming in a load of revision for my exam tomorrow. Yes I was gonna watch the games but IMO we lost it at City and i was fully expecting a 3 / 4 - 0 drubbing from City to seal it of in style.

Had both games up on SkyGo in the library and ended up with about 30 people all crowded round my laptop To lose it in that manner has hurt. A lot. My mind is seriously elsewhere atm and not on this revision... TBH I think if it were to come to United at the end I might of ended up going out, getting trollied and accepting a resit but now i feel like it could end up with that and nothing to show for it! Need to concentrate!

Absolute cracking end to the season tho. You can't write english football. That kind of shit would not have happened elsewhere in the world. Anyone can beat anyone in the PL on their day. Think I looked at the stats on BBC at one point think City had 34 shots to QPR's 3 hahaha! Madness. Im not gonna be bitter to something like that. Even the Barton sending off. All i could think of was Chelsea vs Barca. and how they dug deep and defended so fucking well. Cruel on both United and QPR fans for them to lose the fucking plot in the last minutes... If anything the added time from the sending off cost them but would they have scored again? Probably not.

Those scenes at City at tne final whistle tho fuck me! Absolute madness on the pitch! Full scale pitch invasion!

I already addressed that by saying they've put in years of hard work. That does imply they've built something up rather than quickly put it together.

I think it's a bit much to start moaning about 'homegrown' players. It's not like the entire United team are Mancunians. What about Cisse, Ba and Ben Arfa for Newcastle? You going to discredit their success because these players aren't 'homegrown'?

On the money tip, hasn't Fergie broken the transfer record a few times?

Yes they spent big but dont you think we did this years ago? The money has been blown way out of proportion in recent times but when we bought the likes of Andy Cole for £7M dont you think that was an excessive sum at the time? Course it was. We've set plenty of transfer records in the past. Rio is another, Veron, Rooney was very pricey as was Berbatov. We've just spent over a longer length of time than they have. The financial muscle has changed. Deal with it.

City along with Chelsea for me do stand for whats wrong in football having spent a fuck load (£930m) to reach the PL summit. People realise that and expect them to do well but thats what you can do when your owned by a filthy rich arab who has the ability to play with a football club as if it was a game of chess. If anything the footballing bodies need to bring in spending caps and other regulations to make competition fairer but to them its all about money money money. Yes they spent big and did it over a very short period of time but who wouldnt do that in their position?

To answer your question, not a lot but there are some significant heads in that squad that have been there since they were mid-table. Hart (technically), Richards, Zabaleta, Kompany (wasnt a big money spend), Barry (similar to Kompany really)

I'm not trying to come up with a solution. It's too far gone and too many people with vested interests and very well feathered nests to ever implement anything that will allow a truly level playing field. Just because that's how it is, doesn't mean I have to be happy with it.

Sky Sports traditional overhype does my head in as well. You'd think Stevenage had won it, the fairytale they were making it out to be, rather than a team that has spent over £1bn on players and wages in 3 years.

Don't dislike Man City, just dislike the situation that has allowed it to get like this.

Is being up for sale the same time that a guy from one of the richest families in the world wants to buy a football club adapting? Would've loved to have seen someone like Newcastle win it this year, to show that good scouting, looking beyond the norm and prudent spending can get you a long way. What sort of achievement is it to look at a list of the world's best players and say "I'll have him, him, him and him" while spending the sort of money that would run the whole bottom 3 league divisions for a few years.

Lol at the Man U fans distraught about not winning this title. Maybe it's just because I come from a team that have won the Leyland DAF trophy, Auto Windscreens Shield, Division 2 Championship and 1 League Cup in my life, but I mean... come on! The influx of money and having to spend big to get the best players and compete at the top is adapting, yes.

Yeah. I'd loved to have seen Newcastle win it too.

It's nowhere near as big an achievement as if someone like Newcastle had won it, obviously.

It's not like City have had an easy season. With the money and players they have comes a lot of expectation and pressure. Having the best players doesn't necessarily make the best team. They've bottled it frequently, been all over the place, lost games they should have won and dropped points.

I think it's worth noting that this has been an extremely enjoyable and entertaining season. If City weren't in it, would it have been half as good to watch?

My point was that ManU are still investing in bringing players through the youth training schemes and into first team, even with all the money they have made (or owe). Might stop once Ferguson leaves but it's what makes a club as opposed to a turnstile of the most expensive players and managers money can buy. City don't feel like a team to me yet, just a bunch of players, hence them arguing over free kicks and the likes during games.
