Torn up about this. To me, Rashad was always the most devoted, committed innovator in this corner of music. He will be sorely missed. Rest easy.

We've lost a serious innovator in Rashad who had so much more left to create. RIP.

Have not been into hes music for a long time, but absolutely gutted.

New Krissi B footwork album just released. Proper decent tunes on there!
COMOC (previously known as CO) is a producer who initiated the publishing series called Polish Juke. ‘Footwitch’ EP was an intriguing embodiment of COMOC’s unconstrained creativity that seemed to pose no boundaries to musical forms, being a good reason for “deconstruction”.
Almost six months after the debut appearance in Polish Juke, COMOC comes back with a new dose of music, which is very difficult to categorise. ‘Action Canceled’ EP is a completely different story where COMOC stretches out a futuristic vision in which footwork is only a pretext for subsequent mutations and transformations. Raw, unprocessed hip-hop and techno are the predominant motifs and they add that extra sound to the piece – trancelike, lazy only to be taken aback by speeding up counterpoints. Footwork has never sounded so experimental (and yet so coherent). It becomes an ephemeral metaphor, a remote association or deformed (though somewhat familiar) recollection. ‘Footwitch’ EP could be linked to Lil JABBA’s releases, however ‘Action Canceled’, owing to its stylistic multidimensionality and techno references, reminds us of works of another production chameleon – Untold.
Since COMOC’s first attempts (as Sergio Oo Aaaa) to decompose the footwork stylistics, every release takes us in unknown directions. For the listener, observing the process is like discovering a new musical universe, which attracts and intrigues leaving us in constant feeling of uncertainty and tension.
