St. Helens - Ground Effects Remixes (Souns, Kuma, Jirku)
Only 4 minutes into the 2nd side of their 1st Beat Tape, you recognize it from the first sound of that siren. You might call it ‘the hype section of Soupmask‘ (as Kuma’s remix reminds you), but St. Helens call it ‘Ground Effects‘. Souns tightens it up ’til it almost pops, and Jirku throws it through a wall of synths. Might have been a stretch to call it dub-step back when the original mix was made, but these days that label is sounding more flexible.

2. St. Helens - Ground Effects (Kuma Remix)
3. St. Helens - Ground Effects (Extended Mix)

Clueless, Norwegian Future Garage Pioneer and favourite producer of Giles Peterson, returns with 2 tracks to get summer clubs moving!
“Sexual” with its crowdpleaser vocal and sleazy bassline, is perfect for the hot summer nights to come. “Wonky Beat” is one for the summer jumpers, looking for some bumping bass and swung out future garage grooves and massive vocal chops. With support from all quarters this is gonna be a summer banger!
Restless Ans presents his trademark sound, this time it sounds more like a Amiga 1200 game techno soundtrack played on dub party. Thrilling synths, pounding drums and much more to help you defeat the final boss. 3 tracks / 3 lives. Press START.
Owntempo Recordings is a Czech Republic based dubstep/grime label focused on releasing interesting material from
Czech and Slovak producers. We believe that dubstep should still keep its experimental side therefore we try to
fuse it with techno, hip hop and experimental electronic music.
Mutism Records presents Scythe with his debut EP. Three dark, outer world releases sure to rumble the floor. Mutism Records is excited to have this fresh new sound that has been ripping up dance floors on the east coast.

Supreme being is a redux of a hardcore/breakcore slammer by young and up and coming glaswegian producer Sadistic, twisted into a melodic and progressive dub-technoy up(down?)lifter...

Blind Prophet 'Open the Cut'
(Car Crash Set) C/C/S2023
01. 'Open the Cut'
02. 'Open the Cut' (Vishnu Remix)
03. 'Lag'
04. 'Wondering Why'
Deep dubstep producer extraordinaire Blind Prophet drops his second EP, 'Open the Cut', this week on Car Crash Set and it is a monster. The title track dives deep into sub bass right away, only to wash up on the shore of a different planet with Vishnu's "space folk" remix of the original. The EP also includes two new tracks: 'Lag' and 'Wondering Why', the former is a piano laden masterpiece. As always, wait for the second drop on all of these tunes - Blind Prophet's builds require more than one measly drop.
Slime returns once again to bring you the very best breakthrough talent around, and as ever we're flipping the script once more - after the devastating rave assault of Dekoy's 'Lazerface' comes an EP of amazing, beautiful music from one of the most inventive new producers in the UK right now - Submerse.
The Cheshire producer has been at the forefront of the future garage movement thanks to his own Night Audio imprint and a growing discography of incredible releases on labels such as Whistla's L2S, Fortified Audio, Well Rounded and Disorderly Konduct. For his debut release with Slime, he drops the breath-taking 'Streams' EP - four fantastic garage anthems in the making which are perfect for summertime. There's a reason Submerse is one of the most sought-after artists around at the moment - find out why right here.
"1UP" kicks things off with ethereal fx enveloping heavyweight 2-step beats before the refrain "we came...we saw...we kicked it's ass!!!" unleashes speaker-mashing bass pressure. "Oh Gosh" is on a sunshine bumpy flex, with cute female vocals, skittering percussion and undulating basslines, dropping in and out of dubstep and garage rhythms with ease. "All I Need" is a late-night future anthem, drenched in beautiful strings and melancholy vibes, underpinned with intricate beats and subtle melodies. "Stay" continues the mood with chopped vox and clipped beats wrapped up in a shimmering groove that will drive dancefloors to destruction at 5am.

The latest from C.R.S.T. has dropped on our label in the form of the 'Mighty Music' EP. The original track is backed by five remixes from Mista Men (Bass Tourist, NSA Dubs, Car Crash Set), Roof Light (Highpoint Lowlife, Prolific, L2S), Girl Unit (Night Slugs), and Distal (Grizzly, Soul Jazz, Tube10, Car Crash Set). This pack abounds with flavors for every taste - minimal, tropical takes from Mista Men, proper UKG from Roof Light, positively flame inducing club euphoria from Girl Unit, and deep dubstep vibes from Distal. This is the sound of the summer, don't sleep the season away.
Selande’s “Spades-Faust EP” release last December showcased the fertile musical areas where the sounds of traditional dub techno and modern dubstep meet. On this stellar collection of remixes, some of Blipswitch’s other artists take a stab at drawing the sound back out in each artist’s individual direction.
(1) Craig Kuna and Roman Stange Remix (Deep, Dub Techno)
(2) Mando Soria Remix (Deep, Tech House)
(3) Process Rebel Screw Mix (Dub, Dubstep, Glitch, Crunk)

Embassy Recordings presents new tunes from SINES + DISTAL
Released July 30th
A. SINES offers up STUFF DREAMS ARE MADE OF for the first offering on
the third release from Embassy Recordings. Expounding on their
signature style the track builds a soulful escape through the careful
placement of smooth female vocal snippets, bit-crushed yet expressive
synth leads, rich undertones of bass and soulful percussion.
B. DISTAL flexs yet another facet of his style with the upbeat dancefloor
energizer TORTELLI’S SLAVE. Showcasing Techno-infused hihats that
are unmistakably his own, running astride rich swelling bass, the tune
gallops forward with an arpeggiated lead that provides a highly
percussive take on modern urban dance music.
The year is 2010. The music industry is in a state of flux. The buying public, fed up with the constant stream of mediocre guitar bands, are desperate for something drastically new to tear up the rule book and redefine expectations.
Step up Coda.
Developed in a classified government research facility as the next evolution in subsonic weaponry, they come armed to the teeth with hyper-produced cybersnares, supersonic shards of beats and brass, and gut-churning bass, and are ready to tear crowds into macro-atomic subshreads, bringing audio warfare to battlefields across the country. Genetically engineered to fight as a fierce combat unit, their onslaught of dub-infused rhythms, dystopian synth sounds and battle-hardened basslines are set to smash down shows and redefine what the public come to expect from a live performance.
