i figured i'd get that! Its ironically based off a totally different album by Classixx, who make some really funk 80s pop sounding house. Hearing one of their songs over and over kind of implanted some groovy rhythms in my head haha

@Sinestepper: Like the dubby influences, keys sound nice. The mix sounds okay to me, perhaps bump up the kick and the bass a little - at the moment the hats and snare/perc seem to take a lot of focus in the mix. I think it needs a little more progression towards the end but it's definitely got a cool old school vibe to it. Nice work.
@dotcurrency: Commented previously, nice sounds - listened to it again just now. I'll check Classix out.
@npcompl33t: Relistening/recommenting: I think you should work on the high end lead you have, perhaps layer it with something else like a lower synth or sub, just to give it some weight - at the moment it's a bit piercing. Maybe even whote noise would sound good mixed in the synth.
@chasewoood: Good use of samples, need to work on the drums though. They're slighlty muffled - maybe overcompressed or EQ'd a little off. The synths are way louder than the drums, think about your mix - strip everything back and make the drums come through more (sidechain/eq etc.) Your main midranges also need more sub, the track seems to lack low end weight, partly because the kick is totally covered by the synths though.
Something I messed with today:

Cheers man. Ill deffo turn up the kick and sub a bit. I cant really hear it atm but on monday ill be able to fix the mix haha. And yeah its going to have more changes in it too

. I was thinking about adding a mid range bass wobble every now and then or perhaps some synth/flute melodies in a kind of digital dub way like old rusko tunes, I have only worked on this for around 5-6 hours so far hehe.
Also Mthrfnk the tune you just posted is sounding great so far not really got anything to say its not my usual thing but it sounds tight.

@Sinestepper
Awesome track, I love the intro, but I think the bass should be pumped up a bit during the 'drop'. I would like to hear the finished version when it's done.
@Ada
Lovely track, the intro is really impressive and the track itself is really good. Really good production quality to. Nice job, man.
@Lightshapers
I'll be giving feedback about your remix of Zomboy's 'Here to Stay'.
Nice drums, I really like the snare. Nice synth work to. I wish the "Go" sample wasn't used so much, but I'm glad it's quiet. Overall, a good remix.
Here's my latest upload, it's actually my first DnB track. Not nearly finished, one thing I really need to do to it is to work on the bass a lot.

@static - i like the intro, funky beat coming in, nice to here a bit of dnb for a change, sweet vibes going on is this one, keep at it bro, will be keen to hear the end product.
@LIWUB - intro is very promising, building nicely. yea man thats a funky drop, nice and up beat, but still has the deep vinbes going on in the back ground with those pads, big ups on your first release dog, its a big one.
@mthfnk - l;ove that sample on the drop, digging the melody playing along in the back groud, whoa man, thats a fucking nice bouncy beat, really nice tune bro, not much else to say.
@sinestpper - wicked samples in the opening of the intro, very clean production man, great fx, nice drop, verty buzzy tune, sounds unusual in the best way possible, nice one bro
.

Damn it's nice. I love the mood and the dark sub. However it feels a bit empty in the middle of the spectrum. You need a mid range reese style dark bass to appear now and then imo.
chasewoood - greatness WIP
The intro sounds nice. Not very original tbh but it sounds like a movie :) However I dont like the processing of drums on the intro, they seem too far behing. And given the atmosphere I wouldn't buildup using kicks.
The drop was unexpected. It's a matter of taste after all but I does sound weak to me. I seem to hear a sub, but it really lacks presence and dB. And the mid range patch lacks width.
It's a bit frustrating because the cinematic intro makes you expect something huge and big that will slam your face, but it's not (yet?) the case.
Fatten all this, lvl up your sub and this will be much better :)
npcompl33t - night cruisin WIP
I like the atmosphere. I dont know if the beginning of the WIP is the beginning of the track but it's too sudden, you should introduce instruments one by one.
The lead is nice, however you could automate some stuff to make it change over time (filter cutoff, wavetable, or release (the latter works really well to add tension)).
The drop is good, I can't think of anything to say. The acid bass arp is great, but I think it could also use some more movement :)

My WIP
No mixing has been done yet, I'd be happy if you could give me sort of directions for it

Sapnin people! Here's my feedback on 3 tracks from this topic!
BudSpencertron ----- Moving through the data WIP
Quite like this track, dark and moody! I agree with FAARE FACED, there does seem to be something missing in the mid spectrum - maybe a 'growly' reese bass would fill it out a bit - just subtly tho not so that it overpowers the rest of the track.
chasewoood - greatness WIP
Not 100% sure about the drums on this track, just don't sound right to me - maybe the EQ needs looking at - The atmospheric, movie-like feel is pretty good tho. Just work on those drums and it would sweeten this track up hugely.
npcompl33t - night cruisin WIP
Again, I agree with FAARE FACED; the intro of the track just jumps straight at you - try introducing different elements one at a time. Nice sounding lead, however it's a bit static for my liking - needs a lot more movement in the lead. Try automating different paramaters such as filter, phaser, release/attack - you'd be amazed how much more can be brought into a track simply by adding some extra movement to a lead.
Now that I've left feedback on a few tracks, it would be greatly appreciated if people could give me some in return. I've recently started making more ambient/chilled/melodic dubstep tracks, with a slight garagey feel to the beats. I feel that I'm starting to put more musicality into my tracks lately. I've also been paying a lot more attention to the processing of my drums!

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

@vanity smoooth, cant fault it really.. great percussion and bass.
@bassjacka quality track, my kind of dubstep, i feel a female vocal would fit over this really well.
@faareface, that basslines heavy, love the melodies too, it sounds very reso.
@darkdubs another quality track, and those bass sounds are mean, great vibe.
heres mine, its something a bit different. Any feedback would be sound!

@Bass Jacka - I love this. The melodies are great and the drums are awesome. Damn dude when the bass drops in is sick. A quiet lead sound when the bass is going would be cool. Like a hollow flute sound.
@FAARE FACED - I like the way you build the song. Really nice reece bass dude. The cough break haha. I feel like the kick needs to be a little stronger. That second drop is awesome. Its filthy and kinda funky.
@Static D0gma - Im not a big fan of DnB but I like this chill vibe. That snare got a little annoying after a while. Maybe drop the volume a little on that or use a less harsh snare. The bass was good but I would have liked to hear something gritty on top of it.
Here is my WIP. Any criticisms or advice would be greatly appreciated.

@gaol: like the big synths in this and evil progression! but i feel the pads are taking too much away from the bass in the drop and doesn't have the impact it should when they come in.
@ mthrfnk: this is big room! love it haha. those 8bit plucks are genius

i reckon in the build-up the bass/sub needs to come down a little bit. i like the gradual modulations you got going on throughout the drop. good stuff
@ Bass Jacka: this is nice. piano fits perfectly and the drums sound crisp. Maybe the drums are a tad too high in the mix? overall all the sounds compliment each other well. good job
was going for a big house vibe with the remix at the start. trying out a few new sounds in the drop. Let me know what you guys think!
