DUB WAR Summer Session

This month Dub War is having an end-of-summer bash with a handful of special guests.

We welcome the return of Irish beatsmith MIKE SLOTT (LuckyMe) who's been hard at work crafting new experimental hip hop rhythms as well as collabs with Hudson Mohawke as Heralds of Change. NYC's own FALTYDL is back in the place, whose album 'Love Is A Liability' just dropped on Planet Mu to much critical acclaim. We're also excited to have a late-night set by the deck-slaying rudegirl DJ RIPLEY from San Francisco, and a live set by one-man music machine KOTCHY (Civil Music) straight out of Brooklyn. He's been making waves all over with his album '89' on Starkey's Seclusiasis label, as well as collabs with Tricky and Shunda K (Yo Majesty). Incyde is holding down the resident duties as Dave Q and Joe Nice will be out of town.

I just want to say....

In 4 years and 2 months of Dub War, this will be the first one I've missed and I'm very sad!! Big ups to Alex for holding down the fort and everyone else on the lineup you're all great!

This Thursday, Dub War and NY Tropical take over Halcyon Records in
Dumbo Brooklyn for its monthly in-store mix session. Special guests DJ
Ripley (Surya Dub, SF), FaltyDL (Planet Mu), Kotchy (Seclusiasis),
Geko Jones (Dutty Artz), and Alex Incyde (Dub War) will be in the
place throwing down riddims to warm up for Dub War at Love and NY
Tropical at Glasslands on Friday. Everyone is invited to come hang out
at the store, bring BEER or food, and get a sneak peak of the fresh
beats in store for the following night.

The session will be broadcast live on www.dailysession.com until 8pm,
so the out of town crew can join in too.

DUB WAR + NY TROPICAL - HALCYON RECORDS TAKEOVER

bloomberg is showing the vampire movie "twilight" for free in central park. the gate there opens at 6pm and the movie starts at 8pm. perfect timing for dub war right afterwards. more info here:
