Anyone else watch this?

The more I see programs like this the less sympathy I have. A lot of these people complain about issues etc driving them to drugs and they can't get off them. If you want to stop you will. :|

i don't think you can think of meth as you can with most other drugs....it does seem to be on a different level

My mate was a smackhead for 7 years and he got off that without rehab etc, purely on willpower.

I also have a mate who did meth, he did it once and said it was amazing and he hasn't done it since.

haha, was funny when he was like "so, do you feel different now? How do you say it, tweaked? are you tweaked?"

Some pretty grim scenes in it though, that one being one of the, the fact those guys had kids all around them while they were doing meth, stealing etc was awful.

A lot of the birds were also raped or in prostitution at some point. And Meth is ridiculously addictive more than Coke/Crack, most people would stop taking a drug that makes you look like a Meth addict does.

Good for them, some people sadly can't. Plus it's not like America really care about their citizens? Paying for medical treatment, oh wait rehab. What's that going to set you back? The people in that city, sleep eat and breathe meth all day and all night. Their lifestyle revolves around it, that city revolves around it.

I don't think your mate lives in a city full of heroin addicts does he?

That is generally the term Americans call being on Meth, I've met a guy who was 'Tweaking' and fucking hell it made me feel on edge just by how much he was fucking buzzing, twitching, talking the speed of light.

Meth is completely different ball game to other uppers

Yeah I know people that have gotten off crack through pure willpower. I also know people that can lick their elbows... they're just not normal. Rats, nature's all-consumers choose to starve to death for Coke and Meth is more addictive.

Nah he doesn't but all the people he hung around with were on it too so he stopped hanging around with them for a start. Maybe I'm being overly harsh

Yeah but, what I can remember Louis said that pretty much every circle of friends you join or make will have some form of Meth related user. The whole city was on it from what I gathered, I think you are being a little harsh. Good if you can come off crack through will power, good if you can stop using heroin through will power. Even better if you can admit to yourself that you know you have a problem, you want to come off it, but you can't do it alone. That is what the support is for, sadly in America, support fucking merks you're bank balance.

Someone close to me in America has just got out of rehab, a 30 day stint set that person back $60,000.

People in england have free services.

Jesus, that's ridiculous. So glad to have NHS despite the many mistakes etc they make, free healthcare is a god send.

Was planning on watching it yesterday but I missed it.

Too bad I don't have the iPlayer. It's ridiculous though, I can see BBC 1, 2 and 3 but I can't use the iPlayer.
Wankers.

Just caught it on iPlayer... I often find addiction documentaries either scary or frustrating... just found this one sad...

I thought this wasn't as good as other Louis Theroux documentaries. Felt a bit too much like an anti-drugs advert.

Crystal meth is actually f**cking amazing, but just don't smoke it. Smoking it is too subtle, and that's why people keep trying more and more.

SWIM has crushed it the few times he's done it, and snorted it. SWIM felt like superman on it, didn't feel ANY lingering desire to do more, and didn't have a comedown any worse than off other things.

Losers and n00bs make anything look bad. The guys in that documentary weren't exactly the brightest and happiest of individuals to begin with.
