There's a few of us on here like.
Its a bit quiet at the moment as the students have gone home but it will all start kicking off next month.

Nights to look out for are every Thursday at The Magnet, always something going on, especially look out for Pace Yourself which is amazing, back at the end of October. Play Dub is also in The Magnet and think thats comin back first Saturday of the month from October, last one was stupidly good.
Then there's Chibuku @ The Masque where Im resident which is one of the most famous nights in the country, Dubstep is infrequent and not on every event but that might change in the new season after the surge in popularity this year, but even if there isnt any Dubstep on the line ups are pretty much consistently ridiculous.
Theres shitloads of other smaller nights like Heavy Rot8ion, What Is This?, Substare, Double Dropped, No Excuses etc etc as well and there will no doubt be a slew of new ones starting up, hopefully Dreadnought may return one day as well.
Dubstep Djs to look out for include SixAm (Glitch Hop/Dubstep Turntablist Mo Fo's), Oddfellow + Horza, Tenmen, Discorecka, Da-Lema, + myself and Dj Venom as well as a whole host of others.
Theres shedloads of Drum n Bass as well. The city is slowly starting to catch up with the rest of the country at last and its only been getting better and better. You will enjoy it here, very community based and some crazy vibes at some nights

Couple of mates of mine run a night called Dorsia at the magnet which is picking up too. Pretty much a straight split between Dubstep and DnB. Separate rooms.

I've only got into dubstep recently, but I'm hoping for a set there after september. Transferable skills and all that.

Yeah Ive just done my first year living and clubbing in Liverpool. Very nice scene, very easy to get to know everyone due to the size of it but makes it all the more better if you ask me :)

Anyone coming to Liverpool for Uni on here this year? Just to let you know the numerous nights in this city will definitely keep your belly full :)

I'm not actually from liverpool but i spend an awful lot of time there... most weekends and sometimes 2-3days a week.
Seen a few flyers knocking around and would love to get involved/help in anyway possible (promotion, DJing, anyway possible).

PM me if you're interested in any assistance.
safe.

liverpool originally, brighton now. drawn by the smoke and the bass.

have checked dreadnought, heavy rotation, sure I've seen furness and venom, playing some mad gabba or something..

used to go the lemon lounge back in the day when 'chrome' was around and 'x amount of drum x amount of bass', you could skin up in the place in those days, jesus.

will have to come back and experience the new stuff.

I'm from the 'pool too.

For more experimental/idmey things look out for The Hive Collective, who were kind of responsible for getting me into dubstep, and the Upitup crew, who are a bunch of Italians who have relocated to liverpool.

As said before throughout term time there are plenty of interesting nights to keep you raving every week. Magnet's Thursdays being a prime place to start if you need some bass.

Gonna try and make this as easy as possible for anyone just moving to the city this time round. Pretty much all of liverpools club nights are on Facebook so I really would recommend getting it as using the calender to find out whats on when is well easy. *Advertising Facebook I know, sorry!*

Cheers for the mention Furness! It should also be noted that your both a pillar to the liverpool dubstep community and a world class lunatic.

Alright, im livin in liverpool, just wondering if someone would know if anything dubstep/2-step anything in that region, is going on on Saturday oct 3rd? few of my mates are up, so would be into going somewhere cheap. chibuku's out of our money range at the moment, and most of the events going on that night, seem to be all house and techno. cheers.

if you haven't listened, take a listen to mary ann hobbs show this week. it had 3 mixes by person sound, airhead, and joy orbinson. they were sick.
