Mate I would say if you wanna solely mix mp3s as a 3rd deck say off your laptop, then I would bust traktor... there are already quite a few DJs on the underground circuit that drop there tunes in this way (vinyl replication is expensive). However, if you want to use Traktor so that you're emulating 2 deck setup using a computer alone... then 90% it won't go how you want... there are latency issues (i would say roughly like 100-200ms) with traktor so yeah, obviously you can mix mp3s you've bought/created into your set using traktor/laptop in the 3rd channel.. but otherwise I would recommend Scratch Live if you really cant stand to mix on vinyl/cd

If you want my real advice, I would say put aside some funds n save for CDJs or if you want to be really special, get the new Denons (replica of Pioneer 1000s)... I say this simply because the new mp3/wireless technology is still in its first generation.. wait until it becomes better and cheaper before you make the move, thats what I'm waiting for anyway..

As much as I would like to say stick with vinyl (best sound clarity in my opinion, always) my logic and gut feeling says that mp3/hard disk mixing is the future.

yea i think you could be right, vinyl is dollars man, would love to use 1210 or some sick stantons but mr bank man says NO.

CDJ,s then which ones would be a good buy, bear in mind i probably dont have a massive budget and i need a mixer too, Maybe £600-£700 max.

i just got a bonus from work(burnin a hole) which is all going on music stuff,
