Do you buy vinyl?

I'm trying to get an accurate gauge on DJ's buying vinyl. Please try to be as truthful as possible. Don't use this as a stage to stand on if you do still buy vinyl and want the whole world to know it. Just honest answers if you don't mind
If you don't buy vinyl, did you ever buy vinyl? If you used to buy vinyl, when did you stop and why did you stop buying it?

i buy some vinyl, although a lot less than i used to. the reason for the decline is partly because i earn a lot less than i used to, and partly because most of the time when you rock up to a gig the turntables are fucked and you had to pay an extra 12 quid each way to get them on the plane and anyway 60% of your set is CD's that are unreleased and you couldn't afford to cut them to dub....

been buying vinyl for 9 years now, and as long as i like tunes that are getting released i will continue to buy. i spend bout £100 on av every month on vinyl sometimes a bit more. What can i say i love vinyl, even if i have a certain tune on mp3 if i like it that much i buy the vinyl. I just had 9 vinyl delivered to me today i had 5 on mp3 allready but because i love every track and i had the money i had to buy the vinyl. Only thing i don't like about vinyl is the space it takes up.

Damn straight, I'm broke, the only money I get goes towards that next fix of vinyl goodness. It's never enough though I always want more

Had my first true setback with it this weekend... played outside and the wind was skating the needle. I only play vinyl so I had to just deal and do my best... definitely need to practice on some :shudder: CD decks... but even then I would play tunes I recorded off vinyl
If you don't buy it, then you're missing out on Deep Medi, Disfigured Dubz, a whole slew of white labels, etc... no disrespect to the digital world, I just prefer the 1200.

thanks for the responses! not going to lie, i am actually very surprised with the results so far... i wonder if dubstep/dnb enthusiasts are more prone to buying vinyl than other genres?

have heaps. But lately, dubstep on vinyl is not my priority. I prefer to collect other genre's (last thing I got on vinyl dubstep related was Peverelist/Crissy Criss - waterfalls remixes)
Don't DJ, do mix when I feel like it for personal amusement.

I wish I did in a lot of ways, as I love the format, sound, packaging, etc.
Unfortunately, I have too much (3000+ still) and I am trying to make more room. Also annoying, not having digital files of most of my collection
One piece of advice for anyone considering pressing vinyl, making a digital version free w/ purchase of the vinyl would help w/ sales b/c then you get the best of both worlds.
