i am HORRIBLE at football betting. i always let what i want to happen get in the way of what is most likely to happen. will check back yr site tho paulie, safe.

much better at politics (cleaned up at the last election :) ).

what's been your most enjoyable win anyone? mine has gotta be my laziest bet - i got a £25 'free bet' thing with some betting site a couple years ago, was going to watch villa in the pub that night with a villa-supporting mate, so without doing any research at all i was like 'hmm, oh i dunno, vassell first goal, 7/1, that'll do' - and he did! made a dull game much more enjoyable.

What did you do spread betting on seats or something?

not spread betting, just £50 here, £50 there on the number of labour seats. i don't bother keeping records or anything, but about two months before the election the polls looked like labour were going to be run really close by the tories, and i bet on a larger labour majority, then laid it off as the 'most likely' interval shifted towards a larger labour majority. i know people who work for both the main parties, and though they aren't privy to secret polling data or anything, they know their shit. plus i'm a sucker for blogs like

http://www.politicalbetting.com

i practically lived on there before the 05 election.

Sheet, was 1-0 to Hannover I believe.

Shame I didn't see this thread yesterday! Rangers were beaten by St Johnstone at 11-1, and plenty of people in Scotland suspected it would happen with recent form of both teams. Wish I'd had time to put a wee flutter on it...
