Polar Bear is the best modern Jazz group i have ever heard. Incredible stuff.

Look for Polar Bear - Bear Village. Wicked cool song.

Charles Mingus was a fucking don. Literally can't fault any of his work, and to top it off the man was a fucking loose cannon = badman.

Eric Dolphy has long been a favourite of mine as his flute creates some intergalatic next level jazz niceness.
