probably not the best place to ask, but i'll have a go anyway.

getting quite into mixing minimal on the laptop and i've got a few of the minimal techno selection compilations and a lot of trentmoller but i dont really know what i'm looking for. any recommendations of good compilations or links to good downloads.

Yeah the Scion release is lush. Not minimal techno in the more recent M_nus Records vein but lovely dubby older german minimal.

deffinately feeling the german stuff more. like basic channel/rhythm and sound real dub sound. i find that a lot of mad proffesor/king tubby/jah shaka have that techno 4 4 beat

Then def check out deadbeat too if you haven't already. His last album roots & wire goes from straight dub reggae to pounding dub techno with really tribal rhythms.
