Rewiring some Speakers?

Hey all,

I have these set of speakers from a decent record player I was given over a year ago or so, and currently they just have pieces of metal at the ends which you clip into a CD player/record player or whatever... I'm interested to know if I could turn those scraggly metal bits into L&R phono leads with a bit of crafty solder work... Any thoughts/ideas?

If so you need to have an amplifier in between, any cheap one will do with a red and white input.

Do phono to red and white and out of amp to speakers.
computers are usually 3.5mm jack.

Bog standard built in soundcards usually have the 3.5mm jack, he might have something a little better

Yes an amp would be needed unless you like the whole bassless, trebly sound

I have an M-Audio Fasttrack USB interface which has Stereo Phono inputs :) Hence where I'd whack 'em in... And fair enough, well I guess I better get myself an amp first then :P

I don't have the speakers with me since I just moved back to Uni, but as soon as I can, I'll have some pics up :)
