The Golden Mic Challenge is an emcee battle that took place at Smokestack, Leeds. It sought to pit the best emcees in the city against each other over various disciplines: Freestyle, Pre-written, Battle and Cypher, with points awarded by the panel of judges and crowd.

It was hosted by Blade, with the winner winning cash, clothes and an exclusive Mr Thing beat.

It had three rounds to decide three finalist and one wildcard.
