keyboard controller

my good old fatar keyboard died
need to buy sth asap
i'm thinking abuot sth small (2 octaves) and with some easy configurable knobs - gotta be cheap
any suggestion? (i'm thinking about m-audio oxygene8 or alesis photon 25)

ive been told that keys occasionally stop working on m-audio keyboards, evolution keyboards are good and have good size keys and easily configurable (is that a word?) knobs
From what i remember Alesis controllers have child size keys but i could be wrong

my friend has evolution and i really don't like it
i don't know if configurable is a word

they look like regular size

the cme controllers always get raving reactions..
I am considering getting one as soon as I can afford to..

i've heard loadz of good things about cme but i need sth smaller - with 21 keys and the smallest they make is 49 keys

Yeah the knobs feel a bit like theyre gonna come off by themselves but the mrs bought it me a year ago and ive had no problems with it
The cme ones look nice but a bit big for a compact studio set up imo
the Alesis ones look like really good value for money if the keys are normal size out of the two id say alesis

I've got the slimline M-Audio O2 and had no problems so far. They're under a £100 here and works fine. Only two octaves, but it suits my needs until I learn some Rachmaninov

the m audio controllers are fine, but i'd totally buy one of those korg microkontrols if i was in the market. it costs more, but it's built like a tank. it's actually made out of metal! it has the 8 little pads for beats or whatever on the top plus it looks really cool.
lately i've just been using a trigger finger. i love the feel of it. great for making beats and i've been assigning keys to the pads and using it instead of my keyboard. can't beat the size of it either.

don't fuck with the microkontrol from korg. i said it once i'll say it again......the keys are made for midgets/hobbits/children!
i have an oxygen8, it's cool. but the axiom from m-audio looks cool too (endless encoders, pads).
although - if i had to do it over i'd definitely get the remote SL

I have an Oxygen 8 and a Radium 49. I have owned them both for a few years now and have had no problems with either. I really like the Axiom line of controllers. Very well made and very rugged. Also a lot of MIDI controller features.
