I feel like this is an important step in music evolution (despite what die-hard dubstep enthusiasts might say) and a way to potentially attract the unwashed masses to a more cultured style of entertainment.

I'm on board.

something tells me we're about to see about 4289394823 remixes of that black eyed peas tune, esp considering that the group released a 22 track remix pack.

i'm not the most die hard dubstepper by any means, but making dubstep remixes of top 40 radio hits just for the sake of getting commercial success pretty much goes against the whole reason i like dubstep

if someone hears a katy perry remix by some chwat on fruity loops, and thinks that's dubstep - they've got the wrong end of the stick

so fuck soulja boy, i want my dubstep grim as fuck

Then stay out of it. Its that simple. I'm all for it. The more listeners the better.

Intention is irrelevant, good dubstep is good dubstep. Of course, if the remixes suck, no one benefits.

I don't know what to make of it.
