In your opinion, who is the top Funky DJ right now? A year ago at this time I would have said Marcus Nasty without a moment's hesitation. But his selection has gotten a bit stale to me (however I haven't got a chance to check out his sets since returning from Napa). I've really enjoyed Mak 10's sets this year, particularly the ones when he was covering Marcus Nasty. Cooly G's set on Rinse earlier this year is one of the best I've heard, if not the best. Sadly, she doesn't have a regular show though. Roska has really been reppin this year. So many tunes. I have to say I haven't listened to Crazy Cousinz in a while. Flukes just talks so much it makes it unlistenable for me. And for other, I kinda doubt there's anyone that anybody rates above all five of those, but if there is, I'd sure like to know about it.

Let me rephrase this. I think a lot of funky djs try and mix as many tunes in as short a time as possible and dont seem to fussed about the actual mix, smashing melodies and vocals together with wild abandon in an effort to play as many dubs as possible in as short a possible time. I prefer a more deep mix, with more attention to detail. Geeneus, or circle, would get my vote out of the rinse lot for actual mixing, although i suppose they are not 'funky' more they play some funky tunes.

Gee has got the varierty for me.

I'm not being funny,but the last time I heard Roska DJ his mixing was awful. I don't really see how you could not vote for Marcus out of that list.

Any others dont actually come close to that list to be fair in my opinon.

I was very suprised at home good Flukes was at the recent incognito, technically he is very good and can hold a mix for days.
& he's selection was over grimey with music i general think is poor in quality but he kept that dance over moving!

right he plays 'crackhouse' still he plays alot of funky and shares alot of songs in common with fingaprint. LOOOOOL

my bad zinc plays about 5% funky in his sets. dosent make him a funky dj to be put in the top funky dj's, thought it be based on a dj playing a set with at least 70% funky

nah its not 5%. and even if its not considered strictly funky, its very much related.

i heard him play at glade and he played very little funky, and a shed load of fidget shitters

im going by his recent downloadable mixes and he plays funky. enough to be mentioned in this thread.
