what keyboard is best for me i wanna pay 150-300 quid and i want to be able to asine different sounds to different keys.
Also what is an Beat machine?

Assigning different sounds to different keys is more to do with the software as most midi keyboards purely send midi messages to the PC. Using a soft sampler with a midi keyboard would be the best way to do this. Alternatively you could use a modular system to set up a midi splitter of some sort like I do.
In the keyboards around the 100 - 300 price range there isn't a lot of difference imo, just look at what's on offer and choose the one you like the look of the most.

Are them sqare buttons for asining sounds to or summat?
BTW ive never been on a Midi keyboard before im abit of a noob to allthis.

That's a fine choice.
The square buttons are velocity sensitive pads, so they respond differently according to how hard you hit them. You could assign drums in a sampler to be triggered from them for example.
